Leaving to Bricklandia

*Knock knock* There was no response. *KNOCK KNOCK* "Huh, wha" said Shlead waking up from a deep slumber, his eyes still being mostly shut. "Gimme a minute", Shlead said grabbing a hard, moldy, burnt piece of bread he had on his dresser beside him. Shlead went over and opened the door and the sun was bright as ever and he saw his friend, Mawt, standing right at the front of door. "You know what day it is don't you!" exclaimed Mawt. Shlead was confused, what was he supposed to go and do today. Shlead said, "What do you mean, we were supposed to do something today?", Shlead said while chewing.

Mawt was furious and said, "Todays the day we were supposed to leave on the boat for bricklandia, it's already about to leave we HAVE to go!" Then it clicked and Shlead's brain and he frantically picked up everything he needed, put it in a pack, then ran out the door. Shlead and Mawt raced to the boat trying to make it before the boat left for Bricklandia. Shlead tripped on a rock but immediately got up and kept running, his back felt lighter for some reason he thought. Little did Shlead realize his pack had fallen off and was laying there in the dirt.

They had made it to the dock and saw the boat was about to set sail. Shlead screamed "WAIT FOR US", at the boat. The captain looked over his shoulder, hands on the wheel, and saw them. He let them on and they were ready to pay the fee for the boat ride. Mawt took a coin out of his pocket and handed it to the captain, then Shlead reached behind him for his pack and it was gone. He wouldn't be able to pay the fee to get on the boat if he didn't have his pack because his money was there!

Then Shlead heard a high-pitched voice and they were calling his name, it was coming from the opposite direction of the boat. He turned around and saw a little girl with his pack, what a relief. He said "Hey, I'm Shlead, can I please have my pack back?" The girl turned to the boat and handed him his pack, "if you lose it nobody will be able to help you this time around". He thanked her and handed the captain his coin. He decided to give the girl a coin too, as thanks for giving his pack back to him, but when he turned around she was gone. When he thought about it, he had never seen that girl before even though he knew everybody in the village, who could she be?

He decided not to think too hard about it and they set sail. The boat was filled with 10 people, mostly parents and their children wanting to go to Bricklandia. Shlead had only heard stories but it sounded like a great place, there was protection from attack because of the knights there, good sized housing for pretty cheap, it sounded amazing. On their way to Bricklandia's dock Shlead noticed another boat, on it full of people in red shirts and they had swords. He only saw them for 15 seconds before they were too far ahead to see, the red shirt people's boat was fast as lightning.

Shlead asked Mawt, "How much longer until we get to bricklandia", Mawt replied "What do I look like, a boatsman? Ask the captain if you really need to know that badly". It seemed like Mawt was in a bad mood and when Mawt was angry, he could become really scary. He started walking over to the captain's quarters when he looked over and saw land, this had to be Bricklandia! Finally, he would be able to do all the things he had ever wanted to do. He might even be able to get a good paying job and not have to eat hard bread all the time. He pulled his water bottle out of his pack and took a sip for he was finally where he belonged.
