"You're breaking my heart Ave."
"You broke mine first."
Having returned the Disciple's weaponized glove I follow Murphy into the smoky entrance I've blown to the nuclear reactor. Admittedly, in hindsight, I can see why it might've been a flawed idea to shoot explosives near a nuclear reactor. Still, I carefully watch my clumsy step as we seep into the containment room after Murphy. Considering Emori's stashed a whole lot of revolutionaries down here it'd make sense to send her boy toy in front of me.
My point is considered correct when Murphy's hands fly up to his head in surrender, erratically blurting "Hey, hey, hey good guy! Good guy! Whoa!"
Suddenly his body almost stumbles back into me as Emori flings herself into Murphy, gun glinting in her hand. Her head ducks into Murphy's. Shoulder shaking with relief, his arms encircling her in the slim beautiful blue dress. Looking past her shoulder I notice Madi looking rather frazzled through us in the smoke. As it clears around me, I reach back for Clarke and push her past the relieved couple. Clarke's barley clutched my hand before darting across the room, Madi breaking rank just as fast.
When Emori finally lifts her head from Murphy's shoulder, I offer her a kid smile "Good job with the shield."
Murphy wandering away Emori bashfully smiles back, wringing her hands "Yeah. Sorry about that."
"Don't be", I clasp her shoulder, stepping around her complimenting "You did well. I'm impressed."
Wandering flippantly over to the panel I catch Madi's gaze as she's cuddled into Clarke. Briefly offering the child a friendly nod I wander around the control panel. Grazing my fingers over the systems controls, I hum "One nuclear reactor shield comin up." Flexing my fingers I hover over the keys, gaze searching for the right controls.
"Glad to see one of us can do it without killing anyone." Looking up I see Raven slouched over the panel before me. Regret. After bearing the weight of how much I carry with me it becomes rather simple to spot in others. Observing Raven gazing over the controls under my touch, I pause. Furrowing my brows, I find myself wondering how I never caught it before? Attention flickering up Raven catches my stare before her gaze flickers back over to the containment room.
