The alarm blared in my ears as I reached to turn it off. Another day, another migraine. I got ready for school wearing a blue tie-dye hoodie that was one size too big and boot cut jeans with black converse. I left my house and began walking to the bus stop with Mother Mother playing through my earbuds. The bus was loud and crowded as always. I stared out the window watching leaves fall from the trees we passed by, they'd dance through the wind then ever so gently land on the ground. I had always loved nature whether it be sticks, bugs, or plants, all of mother nature's creations were beautiful and unique in their own way.

I arrived at school, and as I walked to my homeroom I remembered the new student that would be transferring. When I walked through the door I found her to already be there at the desk next to mine. She wasn't too hard to miss, she was an anthropomorphic tiger after all. However we don't have time to unpack the reality of that, so I sat at my desk and decided to introduce myself.

"Hey, I'm Vicc! You must be the new student." I gave a smile and she waved back.

"Hi, my name's Tigress, but you can call me Ty."

We continued to make small talk until class started. I never considered myself to be good or bad when it came to conversation, but it seemed to come more naturally talking to Ty. She was laid back and seemed to be passionate about her interests, I could see us getting along well. Once class had started and we began to work I was listening to my playlist.

Then something strange happened, a song that wasn't on my playlist started playing in my head. It sounded like Roar by Katy Perry. I checked just to make sure and my phone showed Bohemian Rhapsody playing. I looked around the room and it looked like no one else could hear this which meant one thing.

They say if you meet your soulmate whatever they listen to will play in your head. I kind of never believed that because then that meant you wouldn't get to choose your love for yourself, and that made me uneasy. The only thing I could wonder now was who it could be. Nearly the entire class had headphones in and I knew a handful of people here. I was startled out of my thoughts when the bell rang. Time for English.
