One month later.
A few miles outside of what used to be the safe zone for the people of Ericson's boarding school for troubled youth, stood an abandoned police station. Or so it seemed.
Taking a look at it, you'd see the walkers swarming the place with no way inside or outside. It seemed abandoned but it wasn't. It has been inhabited for almost two months.
On the roof of that police station sat a girl, with jet black hair and a pale complexion, her eyes were a striking silver color that was mesmerizing. Her features were sharp and her bones defined. She had just turned 20. Was still fairly young and grew up in this world. She was a beautiful girl in a messed up place. A police station with walkers swarming the place. It smelled and felt like death. But inside the police station there was life. Or so it seemed.
"Jade!" A guy who looked like he was in his mid to late 20s called out for her from the door that leads to the rooftop.
Jade turned around, staring at him with her silver eyes asking silently what did he want from her?
"You know Derek doesn't like you sitting up there." He said and crossed his arms with disapproval.
She rolled her eyes at him and replied. "And you know I don't give two shits about what Derek likes and doesn't."
"Well you should because he doesn't want people to spot you and expose our place." He explained.
You see they were staying in the police station, they discovered an entrance that no one knows about and used walkers as a cover, daring people to try and enter their newly set up base.
"People know this place is swarming with walkers, they wouldn't dare come here." She said.
"What's wrong with you Jade? You weren't like this before." The guy said shaking his head.
Jade looked away and frowned, she was feeling upset because she lost a friend recently. And she was tired of being pushed around and agreeing to what they said just to avoid trouble.
"Just go Devon, I'll be there in a minute." She said and looked through the binoculars that were sitting on her lap.
"Don't call me that, I don't like it." He said and started to walk away.
"Fine Dev." She said with a mocking tone and rolled her eyes.
As she heard the door to the rooftop close shut, she placed her binoculars back on her lap and sighed, her mind wandered off to her friend that she lost.
Well it wasn't really a friendship.
You see Jade and her people settled in that police station two months ago, they were in the shop across the street and one of them discovered a cellar that was actually a passageway underground leading from and to the police station, they had no idea why it was there in the first place, whether it was dug before or after the apocalypse. But they were grateful it was there and it lead them to the police station. They found a lot of supplies there but of course it wasn't gonna last. They needed a plan, and their plan was coming together.
Jade made her way down from the rooftop and into the cafeteria, she sat down and waited for Donna, a woman in her mid 30s that was a nice friend to her, she accompanied her occasionally to the river for the last couple of months.
They were scouting the area and getting clean water from the river.
Jade looked up when the door to the cafeteria opened and saw Donna smiling at her but obviously she was disturbed about something.
"Hey." Donna greeted with a casual tone as she sat across from Jade.
"Hey Donna." Jade greeted back with a raised eyebrow and asked "What's on your mind? You don't look well."
