Moonlight

She sits on the window sill as she stares up at the moon without him, her memories the only thing keeping her company. She hopes he is doing the same, wherever he is. For this brief moment they are together again, she closes her eyes and gets lost in her memories. She remembers having one honest conversation and suddenly, it's like his eyes were seeing straight through to her bare soul. She couldn't help but wonder where he has been all her life. The memories pass her quickly, almost like a blur. She couldn't help but wonder where she went wrong, she knows it is too late for her to say what she craves. So she sits in silence, trying to teach herself to move on.
