Isn't funny how you meet someone and you think you've made a great friend and you can trust them then suddenly they are complete stranger.

"Hey stranger!" I peer up to notice that he is blocking the sun. I quickly slam my notebook closed, I definitely don't want him to see what I'm drawing or what I have been drawing lately.
"Hey Dylan, see I know your name we aren't strangers."
"I also know Marvin from AP History and he is definitely a stranger to me. Why have you been so distant lately?"
"I haven't really I've just been busy lately is all."
"You busy?" He laughs at that thought I hold back myself from chuckling. His voice was full of sarcasm and he knew I was full of crap but I didn't push to hard or admit to a lie but he continued, "Riley I have known you for years and not once in your little live have you ever been to busy to hangout with me. I'm your oldest and best friend, as you are mine. I like to believe if I needed you that you would drop what your doing and hangout with me." The look on his seemed so serious and like he was hiding a heartbreak.
"Of coarse if you needed me, like really needed me I would drop everything and go to you but that hasn't been the case. I haven't been trying to ditch you I guess it just happened that way. I have either been working with Carley on our project or I have been doing stuff at home or other stuff. If you need me all you have to do is call," I said to him grabbing his hands and looking him straight in the eye. At that moment I knew I should tell him about my father, or that the reason I've been so called distant is because I've been taking my mother and sister to the doctor to make sure their body call handle what my father is doing to them. I also have been taking Stacy to the maternity ward of the hospital while my mother is in the doctors. Stacy told me she was pregnant 4 weeks ago. Her boyfriend had proposed 2 weeks before that, Little did he know that he wasn't only getting a wife but a wife who had his bun in the oven. She said yes but they are keeping it on the down low because Brian knows about my father and his habits and has confronted him about it, and he lives to tell the tale. My father has also been in a bad mood because Stacy has been staying with Brian instead of our house, for Brian doesn't want him to lose his temper and smack someone and when Stacy goes to comfort them my dad go after her.
"You promise if I call and say I need you, you'll drop what your doing and come to me? For as long as I need?"
"Promise" he made me pinkie swear which made me feel like a kid but I didn't mind. He rose with me, hugged me, then had to go to football.

Stacy went out of town with Brian to see a special doctor to find out the mental standard the baby will have and decided to let Brian's mom find out the sex of the baby. So I was aloud to use Stacy's car. It gave me the perfect time to meet this guy I had been talking to online for a while, also part of the reason I had been so distant with Dylan. I had made plans to meet this guy his name was Blake Anders and he agreed so we were going to meet in the food court in the one group of tables right in front of Forever 21 and next to Panda Express. This is the biggest thing I have had planned in months maybe even a year. Nothing was going to ruin this for me not my mom, teachers, or even my dad this was my time to do what I wanted. When I wanted. How I wanted. For as long as I wanted. By the time I arrived at the mall I had 15 minuets until we were meeting up. I walked around for a while, and by the time I arrived at our point to meet up I checked my phone 4:55. Just 5 minuets, 5 minuets until I meet the guy I've been talking to for months, 5 minuets until the person who knows everything about my dad will be introduced to me, 5 minuets until my world gets 10 times better. I hit my phone against my hand trying to calm myself.
"Hello."
"Hey."
"Why did you call me?"
"Did you remember the promise you made me? Remember the one from earlier?"
"Yes, of coarse. What about it Dylan?"
"I need you do complete your promise right now." Just as those words came into my ear from the phone I saw him, Blake, I saw Blake walking up to the table I was sitting at. He walked up to the table and smiled at me. His pearly white teeth sparkled between the lips of his crooked smile.
"I'm sorry I can't do this right now. Maybe some other time." I hang up my phone and sit down.

"You are so lucky I love you." Dylan wraps his arms around me as he carries me inside mid-hug. His mom comes charging me.
"Riley! Get over here and hug me. Its been too long since I've seen you. How is your mom? I haven't been able to get a hold of her." She hugs me tight, her necklace digs into my shoulder. She appears to be getting dressed up for something though I do not know what for. She is wearing a turquoise button up, a tight black skirt, and her nicest jewelry. She look gorgeous in her outfit.
"My mom is good she has been really busy lately so that's probably why she hasn't talked to you lately. How are you? You look beautiful tonight.." She smiles at me looks at her outfit then turns in a circle slowly.
"Its date night tonight." She winks at me says goodnight and they walk out the door. Dylan grabs my hand and pulls me to the back door.
"Why the hell are we put here I'm freezing my ass off!" He smirks and puts his jacket over my shoulders. Grabbing my hand again he brings me to the garage. The door creaks as we open it. "You brought me here to see your dad's old cars?"
"No you crazy girl," he pokes me on the nose, "I brought you here to see this." He grabs my hand and leads me to the stairs just around his dad's oldest cars. He covers my eyes and tells me when to step when we finally get to the top he removes his hands from my face. The room has lights dangling from the roof around the entire room, there is a flat screen T.V. in the middle of the room directly across from it is a bed mattress lying on the floor. There are night stands on each side of the mattress and 1 towards the middle of it at the end. He pulls me to the mattress and has me sit down.
"Sit. Make yourself comfortable. I got all the best movies, Breakfast Club, 16 Candles, Dirty Dancing, Jaws, Pretty in Pink, Grease, Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Conjuring, If I Stay, The Fault in our Stars, and a bunch of Disney movies. The mini fridge is over here with Mountain Dew, Coke, Sprite, and Lipton tea. The popcorn machine is this way I already made 5 bags. We are going to spend the night watching movies, just like the old times." Dylan is making his persuasion smile at me and is trying to get me to stay. Little did he know he didn't have to try to convince me I was already sold.
"Sounds amazing, put in Grease first." He pops it in, then comes and lays next to me on the bed. I lay on his chest and he holds me in his arms and we lay like that for the rest of the night.
