After answering questions after questions all night, it was finally morning. The scouts were planning to make base near the port so when the Marley ships arrived, they'd be ready. Over the course of a couple weeks, Hange let you do your role as guardian and watch out for the enemies ships. You didn't dear enter the wall's, already knowing how the council would treat you. She also knew this and accepted your help from outside the wall's. Though, soon, you'd have to enter them when the time comes. Until then, you did your job and kept an eye on the camp.
When the first ship arrived, you could smell the oil for a couple miles. Without hesitation, you glided your way across the sand doons until you found the scouts new camp. Entering the busy base, you found the commander and captain's tent. Entering, the two and a couple others turned in your direction.
"30 yards out, they'll be here by sunset," was all you said.
Excitedly, Hange stood up, "you heard the lady! Let's start setting up for their arrival!"
Stepping away from the tent, the base got more hectic as word was spread about the ships arrival. Before you could completely leave the base, a certain blonde stopped you.
"(Y/n), Hange needs help with the capture of the Marley's boat," Armin states.
Confused, you give him your full attention, "why, can't Eren just lift the boat up before they actually dock?"
"Yes, that would be logical, but, since you know more than us, it'd be better if you did it. Also, I just think she just wants to see your titan form," he add's.
Running a hand through your choppy hair, you pull your goggles up and your mask down. "I'd love to, but.. I've never actually turned into my titan form," you finally admit with an apologetic smile.
It's not like you didn't try, you just, for some reason, couldn't change into it.
"Really?" His blue eyes widen.
"Don't get me wrong, I would if I could. The truth is I'm not sure how. I've tried multiple times I just... can't?" You slightly question. "Ymir said I could, but, for me, it's a little different and she refuses to tell me," you add.
"Wait... She actually talks to you?" Armin questions, pulling on your coat's sleeve.
"Kinda? It's more of an annoying whisper at times."
"Did you tell Eren? He has the founding titan."
"No, I'm not sure how he'd react. He's..." You trail off.
"I understand, I wouldn't either. Anyways, I'll go let Hange know, your still back up though," he finishes before running off.
"Of course, I'm going to make sure nothing is off script," you whisper before heading back up the sand doons.
Just like you had said, the ship arrived on time just for Eren to lift it up out of the water. The crew screamed out in freight, calling out that the islands devils were here.
"Greetings from Paradise Island!" Hange shouts from her position on one of the many bolders.
They all seemed terrified. You stand off in the distance, away from the group. Eren's titan sets the ship down on land, so that they couldn't try to escape. You ignore the commanders "greeting" and keep your eyes on the Marley's. When you spot your favorite cook, Nikolo, you knew the plan was in motion. Though, something seemed off.
Remember, now that your here, some parts of the story aren't all the same.
"Gun powder," you curse.
Shifting your gaze from Nikolo, you look at the ships officer and notice his hand shifted to his gun. Without thinking, you make a sprint towards Hange as she continues to speak.
