"The problem is," he said as he leaned in, "if I kissed you, I don't think I'd be able to stop."

I looked at my fiancé in confusion before moving away from him.

"Walid, what's wrong with you, I told you I don't like stuffs like this so why do you keep bringing it up out of no where, you know it's haram(forbidden)". I tell him feeling angry, why can't he just wait till we're married before making such advances at me. He laughs

"Oh love, I was only joking, why are you so tense". He says and I couldn't help but worry, this is the second time he's doing this, does he really love me or is he just after my body.

"Bilkisuu, stop frowning already, you know I'm joking don't you?". He asked dragging my name, I wanted to nod but since I prefer to be honest I shake my head.

"No, I don't, you keep on doing stuff like this and I'm not sure if you're being sincere of your feelings for me, I'm always honest with you, so please be honest with me, do you really love me?". I blurted out. He looked at me in disbelief.

"I really can't believe you're asking me that when you know I do bilkis". He sounded hurt and I suddenly started feeling bad.

"I'm sorry okay, I've just been getting warnings about you and I don't want to heed them but what you've been doing is making me think twice, that's why I'm acting this way". He stared at me, next thing I knew, he started walking away from me.

"Walid stop, I love you, you know that so where are you going". He stopped and turned to look at me, I felt relief that he stopped and was walking towards him when he shook his head at me then walked away again.

We went out for a dinner date, then instead of taking me back home, we decided to go on a walk, we were walking and talking till we reached a small park, and he just left me here, he left me in the middle of no where, where there isn't much people around.

I felt a tear slip down from my eye, I was just being sincere so why did he react like that. I looked at where he left and started running, I have to catch up with him and fix this plus he was my ride home, he can't leave me here.

I navigated my way back to the restaurant and just as I was about to reach the parking lot, Walid drove past me, I shouted at him to stop, earning a couple of looks from passerby's but he didn't stop.

I felt utterly embarrassed by this situation and wanted nothing else to do but cry as I took my phone to call him, when he didn't pick up, I ordered an uber instead, it was already 7pm and mom must be worried about me.

"Bilkisu, you're back, why are you late and where is Walid?" Was the first thing Mama said when i entered home. She was standing infront of a couch in the parlor so I walked to her and gave her a hug.

"Mama, I'm okay and I'm really tired, we'll talk about this tomorrow okay?" I say, silently pleading she'll agree because i wasn't ready to talk about today at all.

"Okay child, go and have some rest." She says calmly even though I know she was worried for me. I gave her a tight hug before going up the stairs to my room.

I burst into tears as soon as I close the door and lie on my bed, I picked my pillow and cry on it, I just couldn't believe Walid did that to me, is this my price to pay for being honest?.
