The rain began to fall as we entered into the McDonald's. I was starving and I could see in Jackson's eyes he was too. The line was very long and I could tell the workers were not helping.

"So what do you want?" Jackson asked.

"Just a coffee." I replied staring out the window.

"Your not just having a coffee. You have to eat something that's not leftovers when you get home." he laughed.

"Fine get me whatever." I said.

I sat down at one of the booths. The seat was very cold to the touch. The outside was turning foggy and the rain began to fall harder. Jackson sat down across from me and handed me a bag of food. "What did you get me?" I asked.

"A hamburger and some fries. Now eat so we can get to the port." he said smiling, stuffing his face with food.

We sat in the booth and ate for about ten minutes. After finishing, we headed out into the dreary night. I turned to Jackson and threw his keys back at him. "Your driving now." I said.

He rolled his eyes and got into the drivers seat. We started our journey to the port. I leaned my head against the window. The raindrops fell heavily on it. I imagined what we might find at the port. Would it really be worth it? Going out in horrible weather to the port. I must have dozed off because I woke up to Jackson shaking me awake.

"What's- what's going on?" I asked my eyes still adjusting to the light in the car.

"You fell asleep but we have a flat tire." he explained,   putting on his raincoat.

"What are you doing?" I questioned

"Well someone has to fix it." he laughed.

He jumped out of the car and popped the trunk. The rain kept falling and the fog became thicker. I could hear Jackson scrambling for tools and the spare. Seconds later he came back into the car.

"What is it?" I asked.

"It seems I left the tools to change the tire at home..." he replied.

"So now what?" I said.

"Well I guess now we walk..." he suggested.

"Walk? In the rain?" I yelled.

"Well what other choice do we have we have to get to the port?" he said.

"Fine let's go." I replied putting on my coat.

We walked in the rain, our feet cold and bodies soaked. Jackson pulled up a map on his phone that showed we were ten minutes away from the port by foot. The fog was getting worse by the minute. It was hard to see three feet in front of you, but we just kept walking.

We arrived at the port. It was empty. Some small boats swayed in the water as it moved from the wind and rain. It seemed so peaceful at night. Usually it was swarming with people. "So what now?" Jackson asked.

"I'm not sure" I began, "do you know what time it is?"

"It's right on the dot.." he replied.

"Maybe whoever is coming is running late. Let's wait for a while." I suggested.

We sat at the edge of the dock, our feet dangling from the edge. The rain began to slow down and the fog was lifting. I closed my eyes and took a deep breathe. The salty air made memories flood back into my head. The ferry boat crash (where I almost died), Jo and Alex's wedding, and of course Derek. I looked at my phone the time read 8:15pm. "Jackson I think we should head out the rain seems to be lifting and maybe we can get a tow truck for the car." I said.

"Great idea!" he agreed.

We stood up and turned around to head back to the entrance of the port. All of a sudden someone grabbed my arm and thew me into a headlock on the ground.

Minutes later I found myself tied to a telephone pole with Jackson as the most bizarre thing happened: Amelia and Teddy rising from the water.
