I swooped high above the thick green forest, feeling the cold air rush into my pink cheeks. My long blonde curls, fluttering violently at the force of my speed against the wind. I felt free, my body swishing through the snaking tree vines and oddly shaped trees.
Chirping birds and odd animal noises coressed my ears, as I approached the sea which stretched beyond my night vision.
In fact if I were human I wouldn't be able to see a thing in the deep dark sea, let alone fly above it. My adjusted easily to darkness, just like a cats would, however my night vision was much more precise. As darkness was my feeding time, I could see warmth from blood. My killing senses only awakened full at night. Unfortunately for land and sea animal's, they were my prey.
My eyes skimmed the blue sparkling waters for the warmthness of blood, and as I deepened my focus, I came across a basking shark. Unusually for my kind, my favourite prey was sharks and fox's, I preferred either. I summer-saulted into the water and sped with full momentum towards the shark. My 6 inch deadly claws lashed out invisably from my fingertips, and dug into the sharks outer shiny flesh. I ripped its head off into two, before its jaws clamped my hand and flew back to land with my prize.
I feasted ravenously on the rocky shore, tearing the shark to pieces at the flick of a wrist.
This would be my last night to feed properly before I was going to school. I had been home schooled upto the age of 16, and now was the time to make my own decisions in life. I wanted to go to University, so I therefore had to go to college.

The flight to England lasted way to long, in my opinion. England was the best option I had, everybody spoke my natural language and it meant a new start for me, officially away from home. They had a university which my mother went to in London, called 'Cambridge', this one in which I hoped to get the grades to get into. But for now, I was stuck in Felsbury college on the outskirts of London, in a town called incidently 'Felsbury'.
I was in the taxi as I approached my new home. I would be staying in a dorm, with two other house mates in which I didn't have a clue in who they were. They are obviously going to be girls, but I was just hoping they weren't going to be the disruptive type as I wanted to be able to have a quite place to work.
My stomach was violently rumbling when the taxi pulled up to the big red brick building which would be my home for two years. It was boring and square and had four floors, in which I was on the third.
I had only packed one suitcase, on hoping to shop for clothes in the neighborhood and travel light. I had more than enough money, in fact too much in what a normal school girl should have. But my species are always rich and that's how it is. Although I knew better to know that I would not be foolish with my money, I will make sure no one ever finds out. I will especially make sure no one knows my true nature, at school i'll be known as a 'kid', but in my natural habitat I'm known as the predator. And it will always stay that way.
Once my suitcase was out the boot, I generously payed the impatient taxi driver and headed for the large brick arched entrance. I rang the bell and waited patiently for assistance to open the door. An old lady replied from the speaker below the bell, "its open come in..." and cut off.
I effortlessly opened the door with my little finger and glided into the reception.
Black and white patterned marble covered the floor, which perfectly accompanied the plain dismal room. The ceilings were considerably high and had intricate pictures and miniture statues spread across it, it gave the mysterious old feel to the building.
I grey frailed women sat at the reception desk, who was glaring directly into my lost and wondering eyes. I moved forward to the oak reception desk to check myself in.
"So you must be Anna Ghenai?" she asked undoubtfully.
"yes that's me..." I was cut off by voice,
"you'll be staying in room 125, on the third floor, breakfast is at six, and make sure your not out later than 11," she handed me a small brass key, and promted, "that will be all Anna".
I didn't hesitate to find the stairs. Once I was out of her sight, I flew up the three flights and paced along the old fashionably decorated hallway to find my room. It was furthest away from the stairs at the end of the corridor. The '2' from 125, sloped down as I inserted the brass key into the door. It flung open easily, to identify a plain dorm. I briskly walked in and headed for the main area.
There was an old dusty red velvet coach and a small brown plastic table which made up the front room. To my left was a small white/yellowish fridge freezer, and two wood peeling brown work tops. Which included one drawer and two open cuboards. The floor for the dorm was a pale wood linoleum, which desperately needed a wash; and for the walls, they were painted a hideous peach colour, which didn't match any of the room contents.
I peered into a small enclosed room, with walls filled with blue and yellow tiles, accompanied by a manky pull chain toilet and sink, as well as the annoying flickering light. The next room was twice as small as the previous, and its only contents was a green painted bath. As for the last room, it contained one single metal bed, made neatly with white covers, a drawers which would contain my clothes and a small bedside table with a ugly red shaded lamp.
I was surprised to find that I had a dorm to myself. After all there was only one of everything. It needed some serious doing up, and considering I had enough money I would start on the weekend after school.
I wheeled my suitcase into my room, and placed the contents into the dark brown drawer. Once I had finished, I ripped all the curtains open in the room and also opened the windows to let in some fresh air. The room stunk deeply of damp.
College started tomorrow, so after I had finished cleaning and packing
I lay afloat above my bed and shut my eyes, for some peaceful meditation.
