Changkyun was up for hours. it was only because of the thoughts ringing in his mind kept him up.
He had trouble staying up the whole night, which brought him to a bar, called Seven Nights. he walked inside, the inside was not full at all.
Only a few people here and there, there was music playing in the background, very soft and very faint. It set the scene for the bar, it felt like a club even if it was just a bar. but the feeling it gave off was strong.
Changkyun sat at the bar part of the bar and asked for a ginger ale. he didn't want to drink if he was driving, and he never drank a lot before without anyone to control him. It was embarrassing to ask for a soda, but he got what he was asked and took a sip from it, the soda sent a bubbly feeling down his throat.
This was the only thing that he drank since the other day with the coffee, but that wasn't really refreshing as it was black coffee.
Changkyun ran his fingertip against the rim of the glass, his shoulders slumped and his usually upbeat happy face became cold and hard. he wasn't showing any emotions. it was like a black cloud came above him to take over.
he didn't notice how long he was there for until he looked up at the clock, he was the only one there, and it had been an hour. an hour in his thought, alone. not his favorite thing to spend his friday night in.
The bartender saw his confusion and smiled, "You've been here for an hour and only asked for a soda, is that what you want for the rest of the night?" he asked, voice soft and gentle.
Changkyun stared at him, tapping his finger against the smooth bar. "whatever, get me the top choice." he muttered.
many drinks later, Changkyun had blacked out drunk on the bar. his head was resting against it. it was late, very late. to the point where the bartender had to close up but stayed an hour and a half after closing time.
A boy walked up to him and placed a hand on his shoulder, "I'll take him home, I know him." his voice was soft and gentle, like he was putting a baby to sleep. he probably was tired, but Changkyun was too worn out to care.
He was lifted up and the dim light of the bar shined down on him, he observed the room while his drowsy eyes shut. everything went black until he woke up in the back of a car, his head on something soft and warm.
His hair was being played with, which he rolled his eyes back because of how if felt; the gentle finger tips moving his hair out from his forehead made his heart warm. he took a sharp inhale and looked up at the person in front of him with clear vision.
"Ah, you're awake?" the delicate voice spoke, looking down at him with gentle eyes. he looked like he was excited to talk to him, but he was afraid he would scream if he pounced on him like a cat.
The brunette nodded, seeing his blonde hair shine in the dim city lights while the car passed through. a lump was logged in his throat while he tried to speak. the familiarity of his face and soft eyes staring down at him made his stomach churn. he blinked a few times, gripping at his shirt.
the words finally came, and he whispered out his name in a hushed whisper.
"Jooheon?"
