POV: Rio

I stand outside her room, looking in from the gallery window. I looked up and down her body, seeing all the exposed cuts and wounds around her neck, wrist and fingers ~I hope she's alright...I can't imagine what she's gone through. There are so many scars, burns, scratches, and bruises on her...~
"Hey,Rio!"I turn around to see her
"Uhh hey Kiria, what are you doing here? I thought you couldn't be in the Health wing after last time?" ~In case she forgot, she almost electrocuted fifteen hospital staff members. We were already short on medical support staff and then after she lost it we lost 7 more.~
"Ahh Rio, let's leave the past in the past. Anyway, I heard you had another save! Congrats! Another save from our Number One Student Hero!" ~Ugh does she have to bring that up every time we talk?~
"I am not the 'number one student hero', I'm still a training student and I-I didn't save her. I just carried her to the medics and rode in the helicopter to the hospital." I said ~I mean, by the time our team got there it looked like a tornado destroyed the place. I don't know how we managed to get out with her, but I'm glad we did~
"Well it doesn't matter, you're a hero Rio!" She says again and again ~ 'You're a Hero' pffft like I don't hear that enough from the media. I just wanted to be like our teacher Mrs. Arcs, a hero but not in the spotlight~
"RIO?!" Kiria screams, waving her hands right in my face,
"Sorry, what were you saying?" ~I need to stop living in my thoughts~
"Silly, I was saying that we should go get lunch together and you can tell me all about your mission." ~Kiria always does this ...and I usually fall for it. She'll ask me out to lunch or dinner to talk about my missions but she just wants to hear about how 'strong' I am or about how I 'saved' someone~
"Sorry, Kiria." I said as I turned to face the hospital room window. ~The girl...she looks so at war with herself when she's sleeping. I know how she feels~
"I'm going to stay here for. You should leave before any of the medical staff catches you in here." ~I'm trying to sound as polite as possible, but honestly, I just wanted to see her...the girl I want to help her.~
"Suit yourself," Kiria said while rolling her eyes. I watched Kiria walk away to make sure she wouldn't try to stay because she always wants to be right by me. "Her pulse is spiking!" I whipped around so fast I almost fell over and that's when I saw her. Wide awake.

~She looks so scared, knees to her chest, sitting in the corner of the room, eyes constantly moving from one of the medics to another. How did she get over there so fast? I just want to hold her and let her know it's okay~ Without thinking, I walked in her hospital room and slowly approached her. Making sure I got lower to the ground, so she knows that I'm no threat to her. ~I don't know what to say to her. How do you start a conversation with someone so scared? 'Hey, I know it doesn't seem like it but I'm not going to hurt you,'...Wow, even in my head I suck at starting conversations~ I looked around the room, and to my surprise, I didn't see just the doctors but I also saw some teachers...armed and warming up their evolvements... aiming them all at her.
"Wait!" I jumped in front of her, not that I can do much, students aren't allowed to use our evolutions in school without the teacher's permission ~What are they thinking?! Aiming their evolvements at a kid like me? She's just scared and confused.~ I turn my head so I can see if she's alright, as I do that I can hear her mumbling,
"Please...go away...I-I don't want to hurt anyone. I can't hurt anyone. Not again. Please!" She just kept repeating that she can't hurt anybody again ~What does she mean again?~ The temperature in the hospital room started to rise. I looked into her eyes...I noticed something that I didn't see before, her beautiful blue eyes were bloodshot with a glossy cover that made the color in her eyes sparkle like sapphire gems.
