Day1.3

YONGBAE, BOM, DARA.

Yongbae strolled back into the practice room where Jaewook hyung, the leader of Hi Tech was still in conference with Yang Goon. Teddy Park and Master Wu were there too. The two popular YG producers had joined the company's Owner/Creative Director after Yongbae left the room earlier with Jiyong.

Chaerin and Minzy were absent now but the 2NE1 noonas were in the back of the room with their red and brunette heads together. Bom looked up as he approached them. Her eyes were twinkling under waggling red brows even more conspicuously than usual.

"Dong Yongbae," she smirked, "Where've you been? And where's Jiyongie? Chaerin was waiting for your feedback!"

Yongbae sighed. They had noticed.

"Is he okay?" Dara asked sympathetically, "he looked kind of - " she made the motion of an explosion with her expressive hands.

Yongbae settled onto their bench next to them, "I think he's starting to understand what everybody else already seems to know."

"So slow!" Bom groaned, "When can I start making fun of him? Do you know how perfect it is to have something this good to torture him with? I've waited for years!"

"Noona!" Yongbae protested smiling despite himself, "Have a heart! It's really hard for him!"

Dara pinched the bridge of her patrician nose, "Ah - Yongbae - your choice of words!" then both she and Bom cracked up.

"I bet it's super hard!" Bom gasped between giggles, "the way he hobbled out of here! Did you see?"

"Speed hobbled!" Dara added then tried to sober up, "No, this is wrong. Yongbae is right, we shouldn't laugh"

Yongbae rolled his eyes as they continued to snicker. "Noonas, it's actually kind of serious. Remember how he was back in the day when he was crushing on Jung Hwa Noona? Remember how that ended up? With them almost caught by her biggest endorsers on the Disco MV set?"

"Omo! Who doesn't remember that?" Bom whispered.

"YG legend," Dara nodded sagely, "But what are you saying? Now it's Roo Fever?"

"I'm saying this might be worse, " Youngbae tells them.

Dara and Bom's eyes widen reflexively. "No way..." Bom breathes, " I thought he was just being his usual can't keep it in his pants self!"

"Bom-ah!" Dara smacked her friend's knee, "he just crushes a lot!"

"He's losing it," Youngbae frowned and lowered his voice as some of the Hi-Tech dancers came closer to them to do their stretches. "I've seen Jiyong as a lot of things; stubborn, reckless and yes, even plain stupid, but I've never really seen him forget who he was and what he was doing because of a girl. Except for now. And it couldn't be a wronger girl."

Dara starts to look worried. "Youngbae," she tried to laugh, "You make it seem so - I mean at the end of the day, it's just a crush! And Roo Leadah doesn't even seem to have noticed."

"Mm." Bom nodded firmly in agreement, "what's the worst that could happen?"

"What's the worst that could happen?" Youngbae echoes her question, "Let me see - by my estimate, he will have hit it before next week is out... then they will be at it like rabbits... and then they will get caught because like I said, he's kind of losing his shit with this."

Dara's mouth fell open. "You don't really think that," she insisted nervously.

"I know my best friend," Youngbae responded.

"Youngbae-ah, he would be SO dead. Yang Sajangnim would kill him with his own two hands," Bom pronounced seriously.

"Ohmaigah... this just got real..." Dara starts to fan her face, "My Chae baby! Yongbae, you canNOT let this happen!"

"The reason I'm telling you all is because I've already been holding him back but I think I've reached my limit of effectiveness."

Bom and Dara glanced at each other in alarm.

"You say Chaerin doesn't know," Youngbae continued, "are you sure of that? Like I said, I know my boy. And I know if Chaerin is interested then it's a done deal. It's up to you guys to handle her. How well do you know your girl?"

It's been 5 months since I updated!! I'm so sorry! I was waiting to have more but then time just flew by!!! Anyway, please accept this small segment and anticipate the next one!
