I slowly walked down the aisles of of stacked books. Books filled with magic. You could say I'm exaggerating a bit, but hey! Books can be filled with magic if you believe it.
I carried two books in my arms already, I was on the search for a third one. My father had asked me to find it. It was for this new invention he was making.
"Have you found everything alright?" Asked the lady at the front as I walked up with my books.
"Yes ma'am, thank you." I smiled back. She checked out my books and said as she gave them back to me,
"Have a lovely day, miss." I waved goodbye and walked out. I placed them carefully in my large bag and pulled out a piece of paper covered with my messy handwriting and began checking off items.

Only have to get the bread. I thought and began to walk towards the bakery. I groaned as I got closer. The baker's son, Grayson Sanders (picture on side), stood at the front of the bakery taking to some travellers.
"Then, you just take a left and you're there." he said and waved them off. He glanced up at me and grinned.
"Well, isn't it Ms Charlotte James," he said. He had been after me since the third grade but then he's been after many girls. Sure he's good looking but he flaunts it too much.
"What can I do for you on this fine day?" He says and flips his blonde hair.
"I just need a loaf of bread." I respond. He nods and shuffles around the racks of bread. He hands me a loaf covered in paper and a small flower.
"I hope to see you at the party tonight, right?" He asks. I shake my head.

"I'm going to stay in. I got new books, so I'm planning on reading them."

He lets out a soft groan "You and your dumb books."
I let out a sigh and pick up the bread.
