aurora's point of view.

it has been two weeks since school had started and once again I was struggling with charms, I'm smart and most classes come to me with ease but charms has never been one of those classes.

I sat on the floor of the lavatory, with a migraine pulsing in my head from frustration. moaning myrtle singing and humming.

I stared at the object in front of me; a small candle, big enough to fit in the palm of my hand. sitting on the bathroom floor. I slammed my wand down in frustration, as myrtle crackled.

"come on, give it another go! it isn't that hard." she squealed, I rolled my eyes before taking a deep breathe looking over at her. "how could you know? you died before you could even try it." I grumbled back to the ghost that was floating not too far from me. if anyone else would have ever said that or even picked up such tone with her she would have went straight into her favorite stall crying.

but with me it seemed like there was nothing I could do to get her to leave me alone while I was in here. mrtyle looked down at me from her perch on top of the toilet stall. I breathed in deep, clearing my mind. I lifted my wand once again, and stared down at the yellow candle.

"engorgio" I spoke calmly, this time to have the candle quickly grow, pushing me to the side slightly.

I looked up at the now three foot tall candle. I let out a small smile, "bloody hell, I finally did it!" I looked over at mrtyle who was staring at the candle just like I had been for the past three days I have been coming in here, trying to get this bloody candle to grow.

"aurora?" a soft voice came from behind me, I snapped around coming face to face with hermione, with a bundle of books in her hands.

"charms?" I nodded letting out a small laugh "I just couldn't seem to get the hang of this one. so I wanted to practice in a more private place hoping that would help." I let out a small chuckle as I as finishing my sentence.

"engorgement charm I see?" she questioned "well that or I'm just really into candles." I let out a hint of sarcasm in my voice. she smiled walking over, grabbing a few books from under the sink.

"I came in here to get a few more books, but we should be heading off to potions, seeing that it starts in a few minutes, and you know that Snape is um very... unforgiving." hermione spoke her voice cringing at the mention of snape.

i picked up my belongings heading off with hermione to the dreadful class, I loved potions and it seemed to be a class that I was very good at but, the prefessor being snape ruined the whole class for me. he was rude to everyone that wasn't a slytherin. which was very uncalled for since he was a teacher and not a teenage student.

the class was silent as usual, snape paced about the room. barking in his monotone, yet angry voice. as usual anytime he asked a question hermione's hand went up, and if there was anyone else who raised their hand they would be called on instead.

harry and ron sat on the other side of hermione, of course she got the seat that was right next ron. leaving me and harry on the other sides of them.

"now, which one of you have any idea of what 'invigoration draught' is used for?" snape asked, rasing an eyebrow.

a few raised their hands, draco, harry, and hermione. I looked down at my text book, trying to get over looked by snape, it wasn't that didn't know the answer. I just hated being noticed by snape.

snaps eyes glazed the room landing on me, "miss miller?" he spoke dryly, a hint of amusement showing on his face.

"this isn't even fair, the blood tratior clearly doesn't know." I didn't have to turn around to know where the remake came from. malfoy.
