"I don't give a damn about the way you touch me when we're alone."

"Do you like Ricky Montgomery?" He turned to stare at the other boy in confusion.

"Who?" George's jaw dropped.

"Seriously??" Clay nodded. The other boy scoffed pulling an AUX Cord from the center console and plugging it into the stereo. Clay shook his head trying to keep his attention on the road as George furiously scrolled through his playlist looking for a specific song.

"What's-" he was cut off by a hand slapping over his mouth.

"Shut up and listen." George said turning the volume up as the song started.

"Only in my darkest moments can I see the light" something in his chest softened when he heard George sing along. "I think I'm prone to getting blinded when it's bright"

He swayed softly to the music smiling "well this December, I'll remember" he turned pointing a finger at clay dramatically. "Want you to see it when I do, ooh" he leaned back into his seat putting a hand on his chest "god knows I do" he smiled lightly as he watched the other boy vigorously jolt back and forth to the beat continuing to sing along.

"I'm alright if you're alright, and I'm okay if you're okay" he said motioning to clay whenever second person pronouns rolled about. "It's this state, in this state I'm living in. It's just a little bit, it's just a little bit lonely in this home"

Clay snickered at George's antics as he continued to dramatically act out the song.

"It's always colder on your own, my darling I, I let the seasons change my mind- Oh yeah turn left at this next intersection" he stated breaking out of his trance acting like nothing had happened.

He shook his head following the directions given.

George hopped out of the car walking around to clay's side as soon as they parked. He watched confused as the shorter male opened his door and held his hand out before clay could even unbuckle.

"Hu-" he started confused unbuckling his seatbelt.

"M'lady" George bowed with a grin. His face flushed lightly as he took his hand and got out of the car.
George pulled him up and out of the car shutting the door behind him before proceeding to guide him into his house.

"Momma, I'm home" he called out letting go of clay's hand as he shut the door. He slipped his shoes off letting his bag fall on top of them and motioned for clay to do the same.

"Hello George, how was school" Mrs. found spoke as George led him into the kitchen where she was stood. Looking up from the vegetables she was chopping noticing clay her expression changed. "Oh! I'm sorry I didn't see you there, I don't believe we've met"

"Uh- no, I'm Clay." He said scratching the nape of his neck. Women had made him uncomfortable nearly his whole life but he never said anything about it.

"So you're Clay, ah a handsome one you are! My boy George has told me a lot about you it's a pleasure to meet you! I'm Mrs. Found but you can call me Eileen." She smiled sweetly at him.

"Momma don't scare him he's," George then adjusted himself so that his toes pointed towards each other and started tapping his index fingers together. "Shy" he said with a fake pouty face.

Clay rolled his eyes. lightly hitting George on the shoulder.

"Am not!" George and his mother laughed in unison. Clay stared amazed at how lightly they joked. He Noticed George and his mother both had the same facial features, their soft pale skin, their high cheek bones, even their smiles. The only difference being that his mother's hair was red.

"Well I won't bore you two for too long, go on do whatever, talk, game kiss, whatever it is you boys do nowadays" she jokes. Clay's face contorted into an odd expression at her statement. Noticing this George grabbed his hand and pulled him away trekking up the stairs to his room.

"Is she serious?" Clay asked still bemused. The other boy sighed and pulled him to sit on the floor with him. "I'm sorry she's been doing that ever since I came out to my parents freshman year"

"Came out?"

"I'm Gay Clay." George rolled his eyes.

"Oh" He said simply. "And your parents are okay with it?"

"I mean they were a little shocked at first but my mother was quick to accept me, my father had to process it for a couple of days but he warmed up to it and supports me." George said softly.

"Huh.." He frowned. Even if he thought for just a second he had feelings for a guy his father would shoot him on sight.

He shivered mind wandering back to seventh grade. Remembering speaking a little to fondly of this boy in his class. He knew what had happened next but blurred it from his memory.
