Calum's P.O.V

"What's your name?" The blonde girl was shouting for no reason. The music wasn't even loud, she was just wasting her breath.

"Oh, my names Luke" he scratched his neck awkwardly. This girl was edging closer to him by each second. I could tell he was uncomfortable.

"Are you here with anyone?" She batted her fake, clumpy eyelashes a few times.

"Uh.." Luke glanced over at me, i could tell by his eyes what he was thinking. "I...er...need to g-go. Sorry" he turned away and disappeared into the crowd.

Trust him too ditch me.

I decided not to stand on my own all night because that'd be wired, seeing as nobody knew I was even here.

I made my way too the back door, hoping to get some fresh air for a few minutes.

The garden was practically empty, apart from a girl sat alone on a bench. Her attention was focused on the phone in her hand.

I went and sat down on the opposite side of the bench too her, not wanting to engage in any awkward conversation.

I had been sat in silence for a while, consumed in my own thoughts, when I heard the girl next too me sniffle.

I didn't dare say anything as I didn't want to scare her. Most people don't understand my situation so I've learnt just to keep quite.

Her phone rang making me jump from the sudden noise. I leant over too see the caller ID said "Mark" with a little heart emoji next too it.

She picked up the phone then took a deep breath, closing her eyes whilst listening to the other person speak to her.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't of jumped to conclusions. It's okay, I'll see you soon. Bye" she took the phone away from her ear and ended the call.

For the first time she looked up, she had been slouched over which meant I couldn't see her probably.

Her soft brown hair was waved down her shoulders, a few pieces were pinned out of her face with silver, sparkly pins. But what most intrigued me were her eyes.

They were a amazing colour of green. Nothing like I've ever seen before. Something about them seamed to capture my attention more than anything in the world.

Only one thing spoilt this. A watery black trail was running from each of her eyes. I didn't understand how such a beautiful girl could feel this way.

I would of said something but as soon as I opened my mouth, as if on cue, she got up and walked back into the house.

I toyed with the idea whether too follow her or not. I only wanted too check if she was going to be okay.

I jumped off the bench and made my way back into the house. I pushed past a few people, in hope of finding her.

I looked around for her but my eyes only saw drunk people dancing around with red cups in their hands.

I decided I may as well go home because Luke's ditched me and I clearly wasn't enjoying myself.

I made my way to the front door that I had came through earlier this night.

As I opened the door the cold air rushed over my body. I was lucky enough to be wearing a jacket otherwise I'd be freezing in this weather.

I pulled my phone out of my back pocket too call for a cab. I didn't have my car here and honestly even if I did I couldn't be bothered to drive home.

Just as I was about to dial the number when noticed the girl again. She was walking over too a cab on the other side of driveway.

I ran after her trying my best not too make any loud sounds that would startle her.

She opened the cab door as I ran over the the other side. I quickly got in and sat on the seat, I was unnoticed by her eyes, but not her ears.

"What was that" she whispered to herself, probably trying her best not too confuse the cab driver.

She stared over at the door, her eyes were burning through me. it was surreal that she couldn't see me yet I was here.

Even now i still couldn't get to grips with my condition. Being the only one in the world, nobody could guide me with advice - Aside from Linda of corse, I see her regularly.

I tried to keep my breathing low and unnoticeable, it wasn't too hard as the cars wheels were loud against the road.

After a while we reached a long driveway, I faintly recognised the house, but I couldn't put my finger ok it.

The house looked around three times the size of mine. The windows were huge, each of had pink flowers spiralling over the panes.

My eyes couldn't decide what too look at. Everything was so grand and expensive.

My thoughts were paused when the car stopped. I knew I needed too get out quickly.

The girl opened the door and I quickly shuffled over the seats.

As soon as she got out I followed after, the door almost hit me but I managed to jump out of the way in time.

As she walked over to the house, I followed. I tried to keep our footsteps in sync so she wouldn't be able to hear me walking. It wasn't easy on the gravel.

When we reached the huge white door, she put her key in and stepped inside.

As we entered we were faced by two huge staircases that lead upstairs. There were loads of doors going into different rooms.

Consumed in my own thoughts, I hadn't even noticed she had left the room.

I looked around and made a guess at which door she might've gone into.

I walked over too it and turned the handle, I peered my head round the door and saw that huge bookcases were covering the walls.

A dark desk was in the centre of the room, crumpled papers were covering the wooden material.

There was a large, black, office chair behind the desk.

As the chair spun around my I swear my heart skipped a beat.

"Dad?"
