I sighed. Another day of working with children who have no sense of taste. I logged into the smartboard and turned to my students. "So today Gwen will be coming and explaining the new eDesign portal. She'll be here any minute now, so log into your computers." I heard a knock at the door.
"Hey guys!" Gwen said happily. I smiled at her. There was something about her that I loved. Was it her smile? Her expertise in yearbook? Whatever it was, I couldn't get rid of this feeling around her. Gwen walked to the board and began explaining to my students about the new eDesign, and we helped my students, as usual. "They love the cover we chose," Gwen smiled. She whispered in my ear. "To be honest, I think it's really ugly, but it's what they want, right?" I looked up at her and let out a giggle. "Jessica? Are you okay?" a soft voice asked. Oh. I forgot. Gwen was still in front of me.
"Oh! Haha, sorry, my mind drifted off."
"It's totally fine! Anyways, I was wondering, do you want to go get some coffee with me sometime? We can talk about the details later."
My face reddened. "Oh, really? Um, sure! Would Saturday be okay?"
"Yep! I don't have work on weekends, so.."
"Well, I'll see you there!"
"Yep! You too!" I smiled when she finally walked away. The feeling was back. What is this feeling?
