Lights flashed and smoke swirled around you as you stepped up onto your side of the ring. The upbeat tone of the commentator's voice, your memory tells you her name is Cocco, rings out overhead as she announces Hisoka's entrance.

You could see his signature smirk from across the ring, but it seemed to disappear as he made eye contact with you. Instead, his face displayed a stern glance of anger, followed by a sense of hesitation. He refused to look up at the roaring crowd that filled the stadium, his only focus directed at you.

You continued to hide your laughter as you broke away from his stare, looking over all the people filling the multitude of rows in the arena. The clerk had told you there wouldn't be as much attendance as a later fight slot, but it was easy to tell that Hisoka was popular, and you were about to be as well. A sigh of relief left your smiling lips when you noticed that Gon and Killua were absent from the crowd.

Turning your attention back to Hisoka and the ring before you, you notice the referee grant you a look of pity. Of course, a young girl going up against Hisoka didn't give off any pleasing expectations, but these people had never seen you fight seriously, much less seen you fight at all. What reason did they have to judge you as you stood inside the ring?

"Ladies and gentlemen, I think this is the first time we've seen Hisoka without his smirk against an opponent! What's with this new demeanor? Is he doubting his own skills?!" Cocco sounded overenthusiastic as she analyzed our placement on the stone ring.

The referee followed her announcement with his own, "This match is set at a Point-KO system. The first opponent to reach 10 points will be awarded the win."

He glanced at you doubtfully again. Your smile faltered into a snarl for a mere second before his arm raced down into the air, signaling the start of your match against your dearest competitor.

Hisoka started to speak before you had the chance, "You know... I am quite surprised you, of all people, were the one to accept my fight slot. I thought you would've learned your lesson from our little dispute last night~"

Cocco went off on the knowledge that you've met with Hisoka before. Her voice was beginning to annoy you.

"Well, I'm afraid that after Illumi has decided to cut ties with me, I decided I was in the mood for a little violence~" you mocked his tone vigilantly.

Hisoka's eyes widened in evident surprise at the knowledge that Illumi has cut ties. A small chuckle rose into the air as his smirk came back.

"So... Darling Illumi has decided he wants nothing to do with my little toy," he paused to make eye contact before taking his card deck out and shuffling through them slyly, "How interesting~"

"I'm afraid this is one fight where I won't be playing as your toy, Hisoka-dear. I have no plans on giving you mercy," a sharp edge turned up in your voice, the slight snarl in your smile making another appearance.

"You had other thoughts when we disagreed on Zevil Island. Weren't you the one who apologized for starting a fight? I thought that you were going to continue to follow me around like a lost puppy~" he was purposely trying to edge you on.

A loud, manic laugh escaped your lungs. It didn't seem to stop. It had enough force behind it to make you lean back and roll your eyes at the audience above. Your aura expanded, the bloodlust within it clear and evident, its purple tint coating every inch of the ring and the stadium.

"Hisoka, my darling boy, I'm afraid you're still too inexperienced for me to have this childish conversation. When I said 'Don't underestimate me' at the start of our acquaintance, I meant it. There are too many things you have yet to learn; If only I had the patience to teach it to you."
