Months passed and everything just seemed slow. We did pull a few more pranks on the Carrows, got in trouble a few times and saved a few Professors from the mistreatment as well. We couldn't do much for them except distract the tormentors to us. Once, Professor McGonagall figured what we did and she invited, Nigel, Louis and I for tea and gave us healing potions for the bruises and cuts on us. She was truly devastated and most effected by the loss that occurred last year. She was the most trusted Professor by Professor Dumbledore and probably a dear friend. I could tell by her broken and tired looks. The woman seemed to be feeling helpless and I couldn't help but only feel rage towards Professor Snape for mistreating such a wonderful wizard and intellectual of our school. I often started having tea with her and bonded well. Soon, she was starting to become my favourite Professor. We discussed about my aunt being an animagus so as herself. She told me how difficult it was to perform Tranfiguration but easily well done once we mastered the skill. It was so amusing. Transfiguration. Fascinating, really. I wondered if Ginny ever could be one. I read in one of the laws that Apprentices had a choice to be Animagi, only if they wish to do so. I wondered if she weren't already cursed as a werewolf, would she have chosen an animal she wanted to be? What would it be? Guessing by her personality, I could guess she'd be a lioness. Hard headed but a hidden leader, plus interested in taking care of her pack.

McGonagall wasn't only a good woman but quite intelligent and observant. She once confronted me saying that she knew that I wasn't keeping it quiet and doing something to defend our home. She only asked to never share what I'm doing with her since she could be an easy target to be asked what was cooking up against Snape and Voldemort. She only told me to be careful and take every step carefully. After losing Harry, Dumbledore and Ginny, she didn't want to lose more hope. Truly her words. Truly heartbroken. I felt honoured that she could trust me and I wasn't planning on letting her down.

I was just returning from a tea session with McGonagall when I bumped into Macy. I hadn't seen her since the last meet and that was about five days. Her hair were tied up in a messy bun and her robe was caressed untied on her. She seemed frantic and as if watching her back, making her way down the corridor.

"Macy?" I asked. Only one word to know if she was alright. She seemed to get the word.

"Hi." She released a breath.

"What is it?" I held her bicep very carefully.

She couldn't answer and then we heard giggling and two figures dancing down the corridor. It was that guy Adam. He wasn't alone. With him was a brunette, almost as tall as him and in Hufflepuff. Wait, wasn't he with Macy? I'd found that out a few weeks ago. It hurt me but it was true so I just let it hurt me and hide away. I was too occupied by other things to ever let that get to me. Casey and I never worked only because I wasn't in the right mind when it came to girls. I wondered if that was a common factor with every boy.

"What.."

"Let's just go."

"What's going on?" I asked her, keeping us rooted.

"He broke up with me a couple days ago." She sighed, not a tearful one but a tired one.

"Only a couple days ago?" We heard more giggling.

"That's right." She nodded. More giggling, "Oh, for Merlin's sake." She turned on her heel and walked to the on coming Adam, "You're a real foul git, you know that?" She bit out. He seemed stunned for a bit.

"Jen... it... you know it would've never worked for us."

"Told you so." The girl shrugged.

Macy released a breath and turned back to walk towards me when the girl giggled and spoke again.
