Adventures Of Best Friends

As Skylar was packing her stuff at home to move all the way to New York with her best friend, she finds an old picture of the two of them. She looks at it longingly before putting it in her bag. She says goodbye to her older sister, Mom and Dad. She gets in her car to go pick up her best friend. "Hey loser get in we're moving" Skylar says as her best friend MJ gets in the car. MJ sticks her bag in the car before blasting music in the car, playing kpop. "You know this is a about a 43 hour drive right?" Sky says looking at MJ. "It's so worth it! " She says rolling down her window. "I feel completely free, it's just you, me and the road! " MJ says as she sticks her head out the window. Two hours later you stop at a Dairy Queen. Sky orders a large heath blizzard and large cheese curds with a chicken strip meal. MJ gets the same thing besides the drink she gets chocolate chip cookie dough blizzard. You get your food and sit in a booth and eat your food. Two people come up and ask if they can sit with you. Of course sky said yes while MJ was a little iffy about it. They introduce themselves. "Hey I'm grey! " The taller boy with brown hair and a beanie says. "This is  Cole" Grey says pointing to his slightly shorter friend with blue hair. They talk for awhile while they wait for their food. Sky asked them if they like exploring. "Of course we do well, when grey isn't playing video games or sleeping" Cole says as grey rolls his eyes. "Hey my best friend does that too" MJ says as Skylar rolls her eyes playfully annoyed. Skylar looks at her phone. "Oh hey MJ we gotta get going if we want to get out of the highway during rush hour" Sky says getting her stuff together. "Here's our numbers so we can stay in contact if you guys wanna hang out" Grey says smiling at Skylar. Cole and MJ exchange numbers. "Bye guys it was nice meeting you! " Sky says while leaving the building. Sky and MJ get back in the car and drive. They have been driving for hours and hours by now it's about 2 am. "Hey we should stop at a gas station and switch seats" Sky suggests. MJ nods. They get to a gas station and buy a big monster energy and a big red bull. They buys some snack while they pay for gas. They get back in the car. It's almost 4 am by the time they go to their first destination. The beach was always one of their favorite places to be. They get out, take off their shoes and run around in the water. About an hour later they get towels out of their car and dry off before getting back in the car to stop at breakfast place. They get out of the car and sit in a booth and order food. They talk out their plans while waiting for food. Sky accidently yeets her pen from her hand. The waitress picks it up and brings it to the table. "So a couple of kids running away? " She says. "No I'm 19 and she's 18" Sky says as she goes back to doodling on her leg. "My bad so where you guys headed" She asked. "NYC" MJ says excitedly. "Wow where are you two from? " She asked. "We're from seattle" Sky says lifting her head. "So you girls are pretty far huh?" She says. "Yeah" The girls reply at the same time. "Well good luck here comes your food" She says while leaving. "Have a nice day! " Sky says while stuffing her face with bacon and eggs. MJ takes a picture with her polaroid camera of sky stuffing her face. "If you show that to anyone I will chase you down and bleach your hair and dye it hot pink" Sky says. MJ laughs and eats her food. "We've been friends for over 13 years and you still only drink chocolate milk whenever we're eating out? " MJ says while playfully judging her best friends drink choices. As the two finished their food they got back in their car and drove off
