"Ngmm...stop...I'm still tired."
"P'Arthit...it's your phone," Kongpob says while tapping Arthit's arm.
"Mmm...let it be. It's Saturday." Arthit curls up a little more. He tries to ignore his buzzing phone that's been buzzing on his desk every few minutes. It's probably just Bright calling, trying to get him to bring Kongpob to his bar so he can get his souvenir, some crazy expensive bottle of Chinese wine for his bar. He can't believe that shameless buffoon had the audacity to ask for something so expensive from his boyfriend. What's equally ridiculous is Kongpob actually brought one back. Crazy!
"P'Arthit... it's been ringing for a long time already. Maybe it's important."
"It'll eventually stop."
Buzz. Buzz. Buzz.
"Fine, I'll go get it. You should at least know who is calling."
"No..." Arthit swings his arm and leg on top of Kongpob to keep him in bed with him. His boyfriend has only been back from studying abroad for about a week but the past five days he has been working and Kongpob went back to his home. Sure, he saw Kongpob when he went over to the Suthilak's for dinner, but they didn't really have any alone time. Really, none. Kongpob's father kept engaging them in conversations about the company and Kongpob's mother kept supplying them with endless desserts and snacks. Arthit understands that they're just as excited that Kongpob has finally returned. And Arthit can never be selfish and ask Kongpob to give up his family time for him. So that's why he couldn't wait for the weekend.
After waiting for two years, Arthit really just wants to keep Kongpob for himself. Is it weird that he still misses Kongpob so much even when he has returned? But don't tell his boyfriend that. He won't admit it even if you did. He needs to remain the cool and mature one of the two. Although his boyfriend may already know since he didn't even put up a fight or shy away from Kongpob last night. He wanted it just as much if not more. There's this unspoken need to feel connected, reassuring each other that their time apart is over, there's no longer distance between them, and they belong to each other. They made sweet love the whole night and he wanted nothing but to lay around the whole day today. Sleeping in, movies, and take-outs sounds amazing to him. They can do everything in the comfort of his bed.
Buzz. Buzz. Buzz.
"P'Arthit, maybe it's really important. He or she won't stop calling. Just let me get your phone. I'll be right back." Kongpob kisses Arthit's shoulder and slips out from under the latter's arm and leg. He chuckles a little hearing his P'Arthit's groan in annoyance.
Kongpob puts on his boxers and walks over to the desk where Arthit's phone is charging. The phone buzzes again as he picks it up and the image of the caller flashes on the screen. Oh shit! Kongpob quickly brings the phone over to Arthit and shakes his shoulder.
"P'Arthit, get up. It's your Mae."
"Huh? My Mae?" Arthit rubs his sleepy eyes as he sits up, seeing his mother's face on the screen, a little panic arises in him and he hesitantly takes his mother's call.
"Mae?" Arthit answers as he watches Kongpob quietly sit on the bed beside him, perched apprehensively looking at him.
"Arthit Rojnapat! I've been calling you all morning! I've called you at least a dozen times already. Don't tell me you are still sleeping. It's almost noon already."
Arthit frowns and pulls the phone a little away from his ear. He wouldn't want any permanent damage to his hearing. "Mae, today is Saturday. I need to catch up on all the sleep I missed during the weekdays. What's wrong? Is everything okay?"
