BRYCE'S POV
My wife can't be serious.
Ako ang nakasalo sa kanya. Hanggang ngayon, nandito pa rin ang bakas ng operation sa binti ko.
"Love, ako ang sumalo sayo." sabi ko.
She frowned at me, obviously thinking.
Then the doorbell rang.
"I'll go get it, love. Ubusin mo na lang yang pagkain mo." I said and stood to leave.
Binuksan ko nag pinto and I saw Ollie on the other side. May hawak siyang mga papeles at pinasa ang mga ito sa akin.
"Sabi daw ni Sir Ross gawin mo yan." sabi niya.
I shuffled the papers. Puro mga paperwork about the incoming merging at ang binili naming panibagong mga shipments galing Japan.
"Sige, bro." sabi ko.
"So, nandiyan na siya? Si Natalie?" tanong niya.
"O--"
"OLLIE!"
Nakita kong tumakbo si Natalie papunta kay Ollie. She had her arms spread out before her.
Nasala naman siya ni Ollie na ikinatawa ni Natalie. Nang ibinaba siya, tinignan ni Ollie ang asawa ko.
"Wow, Nat. Parang hindi ka man nasagasaan." sabi niya.
Tumawa silang dalawa. I saw the way his arm moved on her waist and I had this notion to pull her away from him. Only, hindi ko nagawa kasi tumabi na sa akin si Natalie.
For a moment, I thought her memory was back.
"Bryce? Pwedeng dito na lang muna kumain si Ollie?" tanong niya sa akin.
I looked at my wife. "Pwede naman. Pero sabi ni doc kailangan mo rin matulog ng maaga."
"C'mon, bro, ginagawa mong bata si Natalie." Ollie told me.
My lips thinned. "I'm just following orders, bro."

Nang pumasok kami sa kitchen, umupo si Natalie sa dati niyang pwesto. Tumabi naman si Ollie sa kanya. Inihain ko ang pagkain sa harap nila at umupo ako facing my wife.
"Bryce, tell me how we met." sabi ni Natalie.

"My best friend dragged my ass to his sister's party."
"With no date?" Her voice came out as a purr.
"Apparently, I haven't got any time to ask one out." I said.
