Avni's eyes opened up in a white room. And as soon as she found herself hooked to many machines; she knew something was very wrong with her. She felt pain erupt all over her body and a scream left her mouth.
The doctors rushed in. And tried to calm her down. "What had happened? Why I am here? I want my mother, my father, leave me, let me go, let me...." Someone held her arm and she saw the blue eyes of the Prince as they pushed something in her arm. Her eyes watered, she never did like the needles or any kinds of medical equipment to be kept near her ever.
"It's ok Princess, your parents are outside, so is your friends. They will be let in a minute after you stop hurting yourself." She heard his voice as her eyes closed a little. "I feel sleepy" She whispered. "Just the little cocktail to make you feel relaxed, don't worry it is all fine now." And she had given into darkness again.
When she woke up again, she saw her mother sitting beside her. Does that mean she just imagined Prince Callahan being here? Or was its reality? She cannot imagine some person when they are not there can she?
"Mom" She called. "W...water" Her mother looked at Avni with a look of relaxation passed into her face. "Avni," She whispered and quickly held the glass to her. "Slow slips now. Ok?" She sipped few times and then fell back on bed. And then she saw she was surrounded by sea of flowers.
"What happened to me?" She asked finally.
"And since how many days I am out cold for?" She asked her mother who looked anywhere but at her. And one thing she do knows about her mother is that her mother never ever averts her gaze or look guilty at all. She knows that very well. Avni knew that something was very wrong indeed.
"A week most, you got us worried their Princess" She looked up expecting to see the pair of blue eyes but no, it was just her friend Avi. "Avi' She whispered and he hugged her. "Prince Callahan?" She asked her mother.
"The royals left two days after you got in. They are royals, you cannot expect one of them to put their whole country on hold for you, can you?" No, she cannot. She shouldn't have expected to see him around anymore. But they left without seeing goodbye?
"There are so many flowers in here" She said finally. "Yes, you didn't know you have so many adorable fans do you Avni beta? Now you are awake we are going to take you home ok? I am going to call your father ok?" She stood up and left swiftly, that was again very odd for her to do.
"So, he left and you stayed why? I thought you had a shop to run to." Avi held her hand stroking the back of her palm. "Not more important than you Avni. Nothing is ever been more important than you for me. It can never ever be anything other that could be more important than you Avni ever" he whispered.
"I had to stay, I had to know that you are doing well. You are now. I can see that for myself and now I can relax" His smile was all she needed as an reassurance that she can whatever it would be she can overcome it easily, very easily. Just then another basket with lilies came in. "Another one?" She asked.
"Special delivery for Princess Avni" She was startled and she pulled her hand away in shock. "P...Princess Avni?" She asked the one who was carrying the flowers. "That's correct that's what it says in here, and there is a letter too." She stood up from the bed and walked towards the flowers. Just as her mother entered she pulled the letter from between the flowers.
"Another special delivery?" Her mother asked amused. "Yes, I think are they coming all week long?" Her mother nodded. "Must be a very big fan of yours" She smiled "Must be mother. Can we go home now?" She asked clutching the letter into her hand.
And then she looked at her father. "Baba," She whispered. "My little Angel. How I missed you" She hugged him. And then they decided to take her home.
