"Hey Liam!"
A broad shouldered body turned around to see where the voice was coming from. Terrified gray-blue eyes looked up, shaking. Liam had been like this for a while now, ever since what happened in Mexico.* As he walked towards the voice, his legs dragged on the grass dreadfully. Scott, to whom the voice belonged to, put a hand on Liam's shoulder, bringing him back from his state of subconsciousness.
"What's the matter buddy?" Scott's voice was full of concern. Everyone's gaze suddenly turned towards Liam.
"You okay little guy?!" Stiles asked.
"Y-yeah. I-I'm fine."
"Well, the kid says he's good so let's go!" Malia couldn't have less sensitive. But who can blame her, especially after the transformation, her life is a little a hard to adjust to.
"Malia!" Kira whispered.
"What?!" Malia rolled he eyes. Now, don't get her wrong. She's great but she can be a little uncompassionate .
"Guys, look. I'm fine. Really."
"Well, you sure don't look fine." Lydia stood up from the bench. Her white collared blue denim dress perfectly wrapped around her curves.
"Liam, I know how hard the experience was for you in Mexico. It was the biggest thing that's happened with you since you've turned and we're not forcing you to be a part of this-"
"Well, you really don't have a choice," Stiles cut Scott off.
"As I was sayng," Scott pops a glare at Stiles who puts his hands up in defense. "I know this is life changing, but you're going to have to learn how to be a part of this. We're here to help you and you'll never need to feel alone. Okay?"
Liam nodded and they picked up their things and headed towards the school.
***
Liam entered his biology class, looking back to see Scott give a pity smile and walk away with his arm around Kira. Liam took a deep breath and headed toward his seat.
As he walked toward the the second row, he noticed someone already in his seat. A girl. She was unfamiliar, perhps a new student. Liam didn't know, He really just didn't have the space in his head to think about this right now.
As he began to sit down on the seat next to the girl's, his body suddenly froze. Blood was running through his veins; it felt as thoguh a hundred hammers were pounding on his head; every part of his body seemed to be screaming but he just sat there, silent, and frozen. It felt like it did during a full moon.
His weakened body struggled to look at the girl who seemed to have this effect on him. This internal paralyzation was unknown but it was certain something unfriendly and sinister.
Liam shook his head as the pain subsided and went to take out his books from his bag. What was he thinking? This new girl couldn't possibly have had this effect on him. She was barely paying attention to the body that sat next to her.
Mr. Davis, the biology teacher, interrupted Liam's thoughts by saying "Good morning. Now, today we're going to learn about how osmosis affects the cellular structure of...Oh, yes. We have a new student. Everyone please welcome Miss Taryn Marx," he said suddenly noticing the new face next to Liam.
The gir-Taryn looked up. Her hazel brown eyes seemed warm and cheerful but her weak smile toned down the spirit.
"Well Liam, you will be Taryn's partner for the rest of this lab," Mr. Davis conitnued.
Oh great, Liam thought. Liam smiled at Taryn but his attempt was no better than hers.
As Mr. Davis explained the slides on the starboard, Liam couldn't help but notice Taryn's delicate but firm hands rushing to scribble down everything being taught. Her auburn hair with faint amber highlights fell over her face. She struggled to keep it from falling with her other hand but the hair overthrew her. During the slight glimpses Liam had while Taryn's hair was not on her face, he could see her lightly tanned peach skin with a rosy blush over her cheeks. Her long luscious eyelashes fluttered as her eyes went back and forth from the board to her notebook.
The bell rang for next period as Mr. Davis was in the middle of the sentence. He didn't bother continuing because he knew that once the bell rang, no one would listen to him.
Liam was putting all his books in his bag when he heard the tap of something hitting the ground. He turned to see Taryn reaching for her pencil on the ground. Liam reached over and immediately both Liam and Taryn's hands touched. Liam was suddenly struck by the same feeling he had felt before but this time, the pain was warm and Liam's body welcomed it.
Taryn quickly pulled away and whipsered "Thanks." Her voice was unexpected. So strong and yet melodious.
Liam snapped out of his gaze as Mr. Davis yelled at him for being the only one stiil left in his class.
As Liam walked out, he couldn't help but think that there was something strange about Taryn. But what could it be?
*The crew went to Mexico to fight off bone-like creatures called Berserkers and bring back Scott who was captured by the she-wolf(Season 4 reference).
*Malia was a full coyote for about 9 years (this might be a little off) and she has been having trouble with adjusting to civilization and adjusting to her coyote self that appears on full moons.
Author's Note:
This chapter might have been a little hard to understand but I promise it will get clearer in the next few chapters. If you watch Teen Wolf (great show by the way, I recommend it), you will undertsand this much better but I am trying to make it understandable for all. Thank you so much.
