chapter 1

"Get up, get up, get up! We're going to be late!" Lilly shouts as she jumps on Lacey's bed.
Lacey rolls on her stomach and covers her head with her pillow.

"Ok, let me get ready." Lacey mumbled.

Lilly jumped off her bed and ran down the hallway towards her room. Lacey slowly got up and got ready for school.

Lacey was an average girl with brown hair and brownish eyes, she had always dreamed of finding that perfect person at a young age, but so far not so good.

Lacey walked down the stairs to the kitchen, her mom had her lunch money on the counter and a note saying why she wasn't there blah blah blah same old same old.

Lacey's mom was a dentist and her dad.. wasn't around anymore.

"LACEY!" Lilly screamed in Lacey's ear.

This morning, Lilly had on a sunflower shirt that said "smile and be happy" Lacey just wasn't feeling it.

"Let's go now, today is show and tell and I want to be first!" Lilly whined.

Lacey grabed her keys and lunch money and left without reading the whole note her mom wrote.
