I woke up that morning to my mom pushing  me awake with a wrapped present in her hand, I was slightly startled but then just stared at her blankly before she spoke.

"Kimikoooo" She sang softly trying to wake me up. "Happy birthday baby, here's your present from your father and I." She said sweetly as she handed me a wrapped box.

I sat up and took the box from her outstretched hands. It was heavy and kind of long. I lifted the wrapping paper in the edges and tore off the tape. I got enough of it off to see it was a new phone! Hell yea, about time, my old I phone 6 was cracked and hardly held a charge anymore.

After opening it and taking it from its packaging, I thanked my mother profusely then began the set up.

After like an hour, it was finally synced with my old one, for the most part. The contacts had for some reason not uploaded so I decided that I was gonna try to get those back. The problem was I hardly remebered anyone's numbers, because who does these days?

I punched in what I thought was my friends number and sent a text.

Well that was...interesting. Who knew I would find a total stranger then actually have fun talking to them?? He was kind of funny, I hope we can text again soon.
