8:37 AM.That was what my alarm clock read.
Sigh.
This was the third time this week that I had been late to school. I rubbed my eyes and immediately thought of what Principal Jesus told me yesterday, "One more absence and you'll be having detention for the rest of the month."
What sucked was it didn't matter how many alarms I set up because I always slept through them. I stared at the clock for a few minutes before looking around my room.
Why is my room so messy?
I took in a deep breath and sat up, pushing my white sheets away from me. There was so much sunlight pouring through my large window that I had to squint my eyes. The air was dry and warm.
Yawning, I walked over to my closet and grabbed a pair of ripped jeans with a basic black tee. I walked towards my standing mirror and aggressively put on my jeans and shirt over what the bra and shorts I was wearing.
