It was one of those cold nights in the streets of Seoul, the malfunctioning streetlights replaced by the light of the moon whose view was covered by dark clouds. The sound of passing cars and busses dominated the silence as nothing else was ever heard in the almost abandoned alleys. How could these streets be so peaceful compared to the day, a man asked himself. A man who worked hard until midnight to support his family financially and spent the least for his own needs. A man who raised himself in his own world full of sorrow, worry and missfortune.

Seokjin. Kim Seokjin.

The tired boy got off from work and walked down the streets leading to his sweet home or according to Jin, to hell. He can't stand his step dad abusing his mother the way he feels like it. Not to mention that he was a drug dealer and a problematic man. Thanks to him, strangers walking in and taking furniture with them since that man couldn't even pay his debt back, these actions were like a daily routine of his life.

His thoughts poisoned his own mind with billions of questions as he looked up to the sky which was painted with drab clouds. No shiny stars that represented the beautiful souls of dead people. Most time it would decorate the black nightsky and make it look prettier than it already was. 'Dad, I miss you. Can't believe it's been almost eleven years 'till you're gone and your voice still echoes in my head as if you were here. I remember having competitions on these empty streets with you, remember? Can we do that again? Can we run together and find out who reaches our frontdoor first? Such a shame that I still can't grow up and become a strong man like you. Look dad I'm still your little moonchild, am I?' His smile remained on his face yet his tears threatened to slide down his puffy cheeks and give in into the moment of remembering his one and only dad. He could've crouch down and ball his eyes out but he didn't want to. His dad shouldn't think of him as a crybaby who can't even take responsibilities.

Step by step his breath knot in his throat, holding back his tears but it was no use. He lowered his head, this time only focusing on his steps, wondering if he could make it home tonight. 'I wish I would die in this moment and visit yo- OH! God, I'm sorry sir- Hold up- Jihoon? Why are you running? D-Did something happen t-to my mom!?' Seokjin quickly raised his head and apologized to the man who bumped into him who happened to be no other than his step dad. A quick 'fuck off' was said and a push was all it took for Jin to drop down to his bum and palms, causing it to scrape the skin off his hands. The male on the floor hissed at the pain, his eyes following the escaping figure.

He took some support by his hands and got up, only to be met with two strangers who grabbed Jin by his collar and attacked him with questions he didn't know exactly if they were about his step dad. 'Did you happen to see somebody on these alley, little boy?' Seokjin shook his head no, not trusting his voice to be so cruel and say yes. All besides that, he could've been the reason of his step dad's death, who knows? 'Fuck! Where is that son of a bitch?!' The taller of the men cursed dramatically. His side profile was stunning, his clenched cheek more visible in the bright moonlight. It was in fact one of Jin's usual habit to study somebody's features but he was quickly interrupted by the loud ringtone of their phone. The stranger smirked as he picked up the phone and listened to the other line. 'We got him' he grinned before turning to the boy again. 'You shouldn't be out so late, run home lil' was the last thing that was said as the men disappeared in the distance. 'Dad I think your son just became a man. Did you just see that?!' Jin whispered as the thing in his chest beat faster than ever. He took a glance of the sky as he turned into a pitch-dark alley.

The shocked boy tried to proccess what had happened just a couple of minutes ago. Was it reality or was it one of those nightmares? Just as he was about to communicate with his father again, he heard a ear aching scream. Jin ignored the person's cries for help and continued his walk but the voice didn't stop. He would be lying if he said he wasn't curious of what was going on so he sorted his thoughts before making up his mind and rush towards the direction of the yells. 'If I won't die tonight, that means I'm still god's favourite child and if, l then well congrats I fucked up' he internally thought to himself as he approached the voice. And soon there he was, peeking every small street that lead out from the main road, searching for somebody. The last steps he made were gentle and silent as he heard a couple of people having a conversation. 'I-I need a little bit more time I beg you please d-don't kill me. I have a wife and a son to look after. I promise to hand you the money as soon as possible, I beg you- please don't' As expected, Jihoon and five fancy dressed males surrounded by him. The old man begged on his knees for his life, a sight Jin never thought he could ever witness such thing. He always imagined his mom being begged for forgiveness but this was so much different than his imagination. After a short silence the stranger from before punched him hard in the face and Jin could swear he saw the blood that Jihoon spit on the floor as he kept crying for a second chance. 'Master was too nice to a dog like you. For three months you told us the same lies over and over again and we weren't having any of your shit too. There's no other way to get out of this' the tall one stated harshly as he revealed his hella black gun resting on his waist by grabbing his jacket and pulling it aside. 'you had enough time to bid goodbye'

He reloaded the probably heavy gun and aimed it towards the step dad's forehead. 'Go to hell Kims!' He shouted out loud before pulling on the trigger. The scene happened in slow motion for Jin: the man slowly putting pressure on his index finger as the the bullet shoot out and slowly rotated by it's own axis before it pierced Jihoon's forehead and painted the skin red. Seokjin unconsciously gasped out loud with the loud sound of the gun as he saw the body diagonally fall on the hard ground. His breath once again hitched and his head shook no. It must be a nightmare.
No, Jin you're dreaming! Fuck! WAKE THE FUCK UP!
He quickly stepped back with a scared expression mixed with shock and a hint trauma as his breathing became heavier and more irregular.

'Sir the boy'

'Huh?'

'The boy' one of them said, pointing at Jin's direction, who continued to shake his head no out of disbelieve that he had to witness such a horrible traumatizing sight.
