Bilbo came to my side nervously glancing at me before turning back to face the mysterious company.

"Arielle my dear, you remember Gandalf" he said, gesturing to the wizard standing close by.

"Of course, Mr.Gandalf" I replied bowing slightly, but not too slightly, my gown was a little short. Being an elf in the shire wasn't a great thing when it came to buying clothes...I straightened back up making sure to pull my dress back down a little in the back. "Have you come to try and convince Bilbo about this magical adventure you had been speaking about earlier?" I smiled. Bilbo shot a look towards me and I stopped giggling. I looked around to notice everyone smiling at me, except for a rough looking dwarf and Thorin.

"This is no magical adventure, elf" Thorin spat at me. I was confused as to why he was being so rude, considering i had just let him into our home. Bilbo touched my back gently leading me to the hallway before speaking to me in whispers.

"Arielle dearest, I'm not sure who these men are myself, but Gandalf seems to need our help so why don't you go change into something and then come help me in the kitchen". I nodded silently before Bilbo reached up on his toes in an attempt to kiss my forehead, but with my height I had to crouch down slightly so he could reach me. I chuckled lightly as Bilbo just smiled before turning back to deal with our guests. I entered my room deciding to change into a long sleeved green dress with a thin belt around the waist. I guess this was okay to wear well serving a bunch of rowdy, glutinous dwarves. I went to the kitchen seeing Bilbo with plates upon plates of anything we had left and he turned looking to me as I entered.

"Oh Arielle dear, thank goodness your here, take these from me please?" He handed me three plates of food and I stood there unsure what to do. "Bring them to the dwarves?" I nodded before turning around to walk out of the kitchen and into the dining room. There was food everywhere and the noise level was through the roof. I guess they've never heard of indoor voices....As I turned the corner into the room everything got quiet as all eyes locked on me. Most kind smiles, but some looks of disapproval. I walked on none the less, squeezing through, behind dinning chairs and I put a plate in front of the cute dwarf, a blonde one sitting next to him, and lastly set the final plate in front of Thorin, who seemed to not notice at all, but was instead focused on a map in front of him. I started back to the doorway when I heard a voice calling out to me.

"Thank you, miss?" I glanced around to see the cute dwarf. He was smiling slightly, gesturing to the plate in front of him. He had some nice hair, all dark and mysterious...Oh! he asked for my name...they were all staring expectantly waiting for me to speak.

"Arielle" I said bowing slightly, "and it is my pleasure". He looked away quickly as I met his eyes. Was he blushing! I didn't know it was that easy to make a dwarf blush. I assumed they were all rough and calloused, like farmer hands. I looked around the room finally taking in the faces of the many dwarves that sat around the table.

"Well-" said the cute dwarf, bringing my attention back to him."my name is Kili". Kili, I thought, a little strange but it worked for him.

"And I'm Fili", the blonde dwarf next to him said winking at me. Oh my, they must be brothers...I thought they looked alike. One by one the other dwarves around the table went around introducing themselves to me. Their names, and funny ones they were.

"Balin, Dwalin, Dori, Nori, Ori, Oin, Gloin, Bifur, Bofur, and Bombur" they all said after each other. I chuckled as they spoke with the mouths full, it was quite the sight.

I bowed slightly, " it is nice to meet all you fine gentle...dwarves?"I finished. "Is there anything I can get for you?" I questioned. Nori raised his hand to get my attention and when I met his eyes he looked at me shyly.

"Would you happen to have any ale around here?" I laughed loudly, he seemed so young! These dwarves are justing starting earlier and earlier. I composed myself before looking back at him and realizing all the dwarves were watching me.

"I bet that laugh could put a smile on anyone lass". I looked to see Balin grinning ear to ear.

"She seems to of caught the attention of the young lads here". Ori says and Nori, Fili, Kili, and Bombur all blush?! Yep they are seriously blushing. Oh my gosh this was soo weird. I mean I've been alive for 256 years, and I don't think I've once came across blushing dwarves before, it definitely was a once in a life time experience. I just stand there feeling proud, this is totally a story I'm telling someday. I just gave one glance at everyone smiling and winking at Bombur before walking out. This was too much I laughed to myself. My parents would of never approved, elves and dwarves never got along, but I never seemed to mind. I walked back to the kitchen to talk to Bilbo but not before hearing Thorin speaking.

"Stop looking at the she elf" he said to the company. I could practically feel his glare towards my back, but I just ignored it, he would like me soon enough, I would make sure of it...

"She has a sweet heart," says Balin. "I bet even you will warm to her soon, I think she would be an excellent addition to the company, along with that hobbit." Balin finished. I rushed out if there before hearing anything else.

Heading towards the kitchen I came upon Bilbo yelling at Gandalf about in assuming the dwarves. "...they've all but ruined the plumbing" he finished fuming to the poor wizard.

"Bilbo, what has gotten you soo angry?" I question, gently placing my hand on his shoulder. He instantly calms down when he realizes it's me. I look towards Gandalf but no one speaks. "It's the dwarves isn't it." I ask them both. Gandalf nods and I turn to Bilbo." If you want them to leave I can make them" Bilbo chuckles at this and I scoff. "What you don't think I can?" I ask him. He looks at the wizard before answering.

"I know very well of your capabilities, I saw you fighting the village boys, even when I told you not to". I laughed, recalling the memory. They were all shocked to know that the new elf girl could fight. I would say that I'm very skilled at archery and dagger throwing but that would be too arrogant of me wouldn't it? I just smirked back at Bilbo before Gandalf spoke up.

"This story needs to be shared, why don't we see what the dwarves are up to?" Gandalf says placing a hand on my shoulder to lead me back to the dining room. "And don't worry Bilbo, the dwarves only asked for one night, I'm sure you'd be very interested in what they're planning".
