AJ heard their loud voices beyond the gate and rushed quickly to get Clementine and Aasim to deal with the argument outside. Though he was tempted to go by himself and see what was happening, he knew Clementine would appreciate him informing her because he looked up to her the most.

"Clem! Aasim! You gotta come now!" AJ said and quickly made his way to the gate, he was being followed by Clementine and Aasim who were worried about what might've happened.

Outside the gate And not too far, Clementine saw Violet and Ruby and Louis, the two girls appeared to be arguing loudly about something and the boy was trying to calm both of them by standing in between them.

"What the hell is going on?" Clementine walked up to them with a slight limp to her steps.

Violet looked at Clementine with worry in her eyes and pointed at the broken tree branch. Clementine was confused and Violet noticed it so she explained "Someone was up on that tree watching us and Ruby didn't see it."

"Are you shitting me?" Ruby asked with anger evident on her features.

Aasim quickly got to her side and placed his arms around her protectively and said "Woah Violet what happened?"

She sighed and rolled her eyes and said "We went out on patrol yesterday and that branch wasn't there, and now it's here and Ruby was watching from the guard tower before we got out."

"Well between yesterday and now others took different shifts, what makes you think it was on Ruby's shift? And Willy and AJ were with her too. Why are you taking it out on Ruby?" Aasim asked defending his girlfriend.

And he had a good point.

Clementine most of the time tends to be on Violet's side, it was purely instinctive and Clementine knew why, but this time she wasn't on Violet's side because she knows Violet and she knows she has something on her mind and Ruby was just the person she took it out on because it was easier. She was there to put the blame on in the heat of the moment.

"Aasim why don't you and Ruby go back inside? I'll handle this." Clementine said walking closer to Violet.

"How fucking shocking you won't call her out on her bullshit!" Ruby said with a venomous tone and walked back towards the gate, Aasim shook his head at Clementine and looked with disappointment and followed his girlfriend. Clementine wouldn't want to disappoint her friends and not especially after what they did to her and how they took care of her when she needed help and how they were always there for her. But they didn't know Violet like she did, and she knew Violet needed a break and to be understood in order for things to get better.

"AJ why don't you go back with them? I'm going on patrol instead of Ruby." Clementine said gently and placed a hand on his shoulder. This worried Violet but she didn't say anything, she knew Clementine recently started walking better on her new limb but she was worried because someone was definitely out there and she didn't know if Clementine would be safe knowing walkers weren't the only threat that was waiting for them.

"I want to come with you Clem." AJ pleaded with sad eyes.

"Someone is out there AJ and now we know for sure, I need you to stay with the others. It'll make me feel a lot better knowing you're there to keep them safe." Clementine hugged him.

AJ nodded as he let go of her embrace and said "See you on the other side." He felt appreciated and grateful that Clementine thought highly of him and saw how strong he was and trusted him to keep the others safe.

"You will goofball." Clementine smiled as she watched him walk back to the gate.

"It's a long walk Clem, are you sure you can?" Louis asked with concern. Violet was thankful he voiced some of her worries.
