Okay holy hell we got to 30 chapters, that's pretty cool.
Also, please at least one person vote on the chapter before, much appreciated. Now, onto the fic.
Third person P.O.V.
And as soon as the conversation started, some of them already wanted it to end. "I think he just needs to get lai-" Mineta was stopped dead in his tracks by a tongue slapping him from across the room, courtesy of Asui. "This is serious Mineta, ever since the end of the raid on the Yakuza and those black tentacles appearing from his arm, he hasn't been acting like himself, and we need to get him back to what he used to be." Uraraka was right, as not only did they miss seeing their friend as lively as he was and interact with them, but the entire class had also noticed, as he turned his approachable nature by its head and would try to avoid everyone at all costs, making him more introverted than what he already used to be. "But it can't be just something that happened now or recently *kero*. He saw his idol retire in front of his very eyes and it did not affect him as much as this."
Discussion about the reasons why Izuku's change of demeanour happened in the first place were a key factor, as if they could understand the reason, they would be more likely to find a solution. Aoyama had constantly repeated that he missed the sparkles the greenette used to emit, and Todoroki was trying to analyze everything that was being discussed at the moment. However, it was Yaoyorozu who got up, walked to the male side of the dorms, and brought back an uninvited guest to the meeting, that could actually be of great help. No one had noticed her either leave or return except for Shoto, and, as soon as she was back, her companion made it explicitly clear that he did not enjoy being here or the individual they were talking about. "Why the FUCK did you bring me here ponytail? You are just wasting my time!" Bakugo yelled in his explosive way, while everyone was startled and even a bit afraid to get on the explosive bad side of said teen. "Well, we are talking about Midoriya and you seem to know each other the longest due to the nicknames, so you may have an idea to help him".
With a quick click of his tongue and a large audible sigh, Bakugo looked at each person in the area while thinking of the nicknames he imposed as to remember how to address them and sat down. He wouldn't want to admit it, but he missed the regular state of his rival and had seen him not long ago, making him understand why he was here. "I'm just here cause I need someone to challenge me and that nerd may be able to do so, so lets get this over with!" astonished as they all were due to him accepting to help out someone they thought he hated, Uraraka shook her head out of her trance and decided not to make Bakugo wait any longer, as he was a litteral time bomb. "Did Deku ever act like this before we knew him?" It was simple, yet it made perfect sense to her that if someone knew, it was Bakugo. He, on the other hand, was having a mental struggle, as he could not go on a specific rant of what him and the rest of society put him through for eleven years, so he went for a safer option, and decided to only answer the question with as little backstory as possible.
"Fuck no, never to this extent. I've seen him sad and moping around like a hurt puppy before, but he was never acting as idiotically as he is right now." The ones who heard him had wide eyes thinking about what Bakugo was saying, making some of them start to get angrier at him for insulting their friend who needed their help. "He isn't being an idiot, he ne-" "Yes, he is being a fucking dumbass that is probably overthinking just about everything and anything. I'm out, the nerd can get himself back up, just like he has done before" and with his rude interruption to Todoroki, he stood up and left just like he announced, heading directly back to his room. However, he was right in one thing, Izuku's anxiety and brain constantly going at two hundred miles an hour were probably a main factor, and he was the only one that knew how his fear was affecting him, as he knew about One For All. He was sure that what Deku was feeling was just the overpowered and over exaggerated version of what he felt when All Might retired, and what had actually consumed him the most was his fear. But he wouldn't give him an inspirational speech, he had done it already at his house.
"Soooo, if we assume that Bakugo is correct about the overthinking, then Midoriya could be suffering a sort of anxiety?" Iida more asked than stated, not wanting to believe that such a kind soul that he had befriended even when he had initially insulted him in their first meeting, could be suffering from something that could be either minor or huge in terms of seriousness. "It makes sense" stated Uraraka, as she stared down at the floor, tears threatening to start forming at the back of her eyes. "He was constantly hunched, looking down and looked stressed about everything the first days we met him." At this, most of them nodded in agreement, thinking how they did not notice these aspects before. Had it been overshadowed by his heroic side that activated whenever facing a challenge or nature? Or just his overall happiness when he hung out more with them and his constant gratitude? He was always helping others but refusing to get help for himself, clearly shown in his fight with Todoroki at the sports festival, or when saving Kota from Muscular. He was the embodiment of heroism and his friends could not believe he had succumbed to his flaws and fell, while said hero could not believe what his friends were talking about, having heard the conclusion made after Bakugo left, as he had to get more bandages from the school nursery. To say he was mentally demolished was an understatement.
Heyoo, it's been over 24 hours but here we go. Sorry it was all in third person, thought it worked better to incorporate as much as possible in this chapter, but yeah, it's been 30. A angsty ride to say the least, but oh well, ain't that what we are here for? Remember all of you are amazing and special and hold value that is immeasurable. Hope you have or had a great day, and I'll be back tomorrow.
