It Could Have Been Worse

I had been dreaming of him. A lonely distant yet ever so charming silhouette of a man. He stood by me , reaching his hand in front of my slim one. I laughed he intertwined his fingers in mine, looking up at me with those amazingly stunning black orbs through his midnight-dark hair. It was funny how it was raining in there. Streaks of hair began forming, making my drip-dye that much uglier, but for his hair - oh God. His hair. His face. His perfect cheesy smile. Those perfect dimples. Those...

Oh, God. Im losing it.

" Icky, " suddenly his lips parted.

" Icky wake up," he stared at me with those perfect black eyes-

Wait wasn't his voice a little high pitched for a man?

" Icky! "

I felt the dream crashing. Thunder rumbled, buildings collapsed, humidity increased. I tugged at his white V-neck t-shirt, shouting above the noise of the chaos to stay with me. His face melted - literally. His smile turned into a frown which eventually turned into a distorted spiral. His eyes smudged with the rest of his face.

By now, I was fully aware that I was in a dream. I tried calming myself down.

Don't wake up. Do not wake up.

But it just made the situation worse. Debris from buildings crashed inches away from me and the man, his face looking like he had fallen in a cement mixer. Fire - meteors crashed out of nowhere. Rocks and cement peeled off the buildings while windows were either shattered or reflecting the light from the sudden meteor shower.

I panicked.

Wait, panic? My dream-

I groaned in frustration as my eyes adjusted to the white ceiling. Where was that stupid idiot that crashed my happiness?

" HERE I AM! " Suddenly a pillow was flung to my face. I squinted trying to push the deadly weapon off my face. "You know, you should really stop saying your thoughts aloud, Icky."

I cursed under my breath.

"For the last time, my name is fucking Mickey." I breathed out in exasperation, flinging the death weapon back at her direction. "Not Icky."

She just laughed and walked off. Damn her. Just then, I noticed the room. Papers and sheets of overdue homework were flung over the floor - not to mention the disgusting clothes, namely 'underwear', that was strewn all over the room.

"Gee, Shawna. You are such a great roommate, " I stated sarcastically.

"Aw. Thanks, babe." she winked while leaning on a spinning chair next to our working table whilst painting her nails.

"Mind telling me why the hell we are roommates again?" I groaned, pushing myself up into a sloppish sitting postion.

"Well, Mickey, I guess we're roomies - "

I held my hand up, "Alright, I'm going to stop you right there. Never. And I mean never call us roomies ever again."

She snorted, "Geez, we've known each other for a day and I already hate you"

"Dude! You slept with like two guys last night"

"So?"

"SO I COULD HEAR YOU MATING! DO YOU NOT SEE THE PROBLEM?"

She sashayed off to the bathroom. "Oopsie, did I disturb little Icky Mickey?"

I stared at the bathroom door, forcing it to shut.

"Ugh, you are such a bitch!" She stormed out of the room

And that, my friends, is how you get rid of an annoying room mate.
