Izuku was crushed. His idol, no his EX idol, ruthlessly destroyed his dreams.

In a world where 80% of the population had special powers called quirks, izuku was part of the 20% that was just..well just powerless, or for better words quirkless.

He had just been told earlier by his childhood friend to jump of a roof, and to hope for a quirk in his next life.I guess he was a bully now, but izuku couldn't help but admire his ex-friend, bakugo katsuki, or as he called him, kachon. Oh but it gets better. After he had thrown izuku as favorite notebook out a window, izuku was shortly after attacked by a villain.

The villain had a mutated quirk which gave him a alien like appearance, and seemed to think that shoving it's slimy body into izuku's mouth would be a great idea. 'A perfect meat shield"it  said as it slowly had taken control of him, while he faded into the abyss.

And then suddenly, with a whoosh, the villain was scattered into a million pieces and collected in a plastic bottle.

Izuku had looked up and seen his idol, all might, the number one hero.

Being in a rush the hero had quickly jumped into the air, using his super strength, and izuku had grabbed on.

The hero, whose name was all might, had  landed on a nearby rooftop and would have left him there, but izuku just had to know.

And so he asked.

"Can I be a hero, even without a quirk?"

*********

Now, here he was, standing on the rooftop, the rejection stinging worse then when he first found out he was quirkless.

He gazed around, wondering if maybe kachon was right, maybe he should just end it all.

He sat down. Swing his legs, he dangled them over the edge, testing the waters.

If he went headfirst, he would most certainly perish. Maybe even have a quick death.

His mind started replaying all the horrible things that had happened to him, how he had been bullied everyday, rejected by his idol, and how even a villain saw him as only a "meat shield".

As he was about to fall, a voice sounded from behind him.

"Ah, so young, yet so broken."

....
"It'd be ashamed to end it now, wouldn't it?
