The next morning, you surprisingly woke up in your tent, dry.
"Levi..." You spoke to yourself.
It wasn't a very happy morning, though, you weren't sure if it was even morning anymore. Looking down, you were still clad in the outfit the queen had gifted to you. Beside you were your old clothes. Sitting up in your make-shift cot, water couldn't help fall from your eyes. You also failed to notice the steady pitter of the rain that followed.
"I already knew this was going to happen, then why? Why does it still hurt...?" You numbly spoke out loud.
Letting the river flow from your eyes and the rain drizzle down, you curl yourself back onto your cot as if you were a cat. Slowly, your legs find your chest, and gently, you wrap your arms around them.
"So much for trying to stop all of this, now everyone's... They're all going to..." Squeezing your legs, the rain began to fall harder in the desert.
Outside, cadets and workers began to take shelter as they found it unusual for it to be raining in such an area. Stepping out of the commander's tent, both Levi and Hange look at each other. The pitter-patter of feet matched the rain as two lone cadets run towards the person responsible for this weather. Drenched in rainwater, Armin and Mikasa look down at your crying form. You weren't in hysteria, your face showed zero emotion as water flowed from your eyes. Even after they sat at either side of you, you failed to acknowledge them.
"(Y/n)-chan," Amrin rests a hand on your exposed arm.
Eyes widening, you were finally brought out of your trance. Looking at the two, you begin to cry even harder.
"I-I'm sorry..." You hiccup.
As you sit up, they engulf you into their warm embrace. The three of you stay like this for a moment before the rain starts to clear. Pulling back, Mikasa uses the end of her sleeve and wipes away the fallen tears.
"It's okay, (y/n)-chan. I know you tried to stop him..," she comforts.
Sniffing, you wipe the snot away from under your nose. "I'm supposed to protect you... I shouldn't be acting like this... Even if I already knew..." You admit.
"(Y/n), you don't have to play that role all the time, your still human like the rest of us," Armin states.
"I... Don't know what my purpose is anymore, Armin..." You confess.
The two cadets' eye's glance at each other before the blonde gives you a thump on your head. Grunting in pain, a hand comes up to the sore spot before you meet his determined eyes. You give him a questionable look before he begins to stand up in your small tent. Clenching his fist, you and Mikasa watch as he begins to yell at you angrily.
"You are the Guardian Titan with royal blood! You are the guardian of this island and a friend of the servery corps! You protected us with all you had before we could stop the Marley's from making more titan's and helped us advance our weaponry with Yelena! (Y/N)! You know what's going to happen and know how to stop it! With your tears, you can make it rain and make flowers sprout from your wounds!" He points down at you.
"Armin..." You say in adornment.
He goes on, "I believe you will help us and stop Eren from whatever he's planning! We'll get him back, I know it!"
A smile forms on your lips along with Mikasa, "Thank you, Armin, I promise you both." You turn towards the female. "I'll bring Eren back to us," you finish before clenching your fist.
They smile at you in appreciation. After they left, you changed into your normal clothes and stepped out of your tent. Waiting outside was Commander Hange herself.
