[After getting Toga checked and training for the remainder of the ten months]

[Shoto's pov]

It was the day before the entrance exam for U.A. High. Shoto was nervous about the exam, he wasn't sure if he would pass. He had trained extensively with his new quirk but he wasn't all that confident in how the exam would go. Hundreds of people apply there every year, he didn't want to be a part of the larger percent that don't get in and fail All For One. He wanted to prove his worth and that he could do this.

Shoto paced back and forth in his room, unable to sit still for more that a minute or two.

"Shoto, calm down. You'll do great. Relax."

Dabi/Touya was attempting to calm his brother's nerves. Key word, attempting.

As Shoto paced and Dabi/Touya tried to calm his nerves, Toga was downstairs in the kitchen making lunch for the three.  Toga was making cold soba for Shoto, Dabi/Touya, and herself and some Boba to drink.

"Lunch is ready!" Toga yelled. The boys came running down, hungry. As they ate their lunch Toga gave Shoto an idea for what he should aim for in the exam.

"You should aim for General Education. You won't have to fight the league and you would be able to get close to the hero course without blowing your cover."

Shoto shook his head. "I already applied for the Heroics Course."

Toga pouted. "Awww, no fun. Now I'll have to fight you!"

Shoto glared at her. "That's IF I make it into the course."

[That night]

Shoto was training, pushing himself to the edge to be, in his eyes, good enough. He had been training almost all day and he wouldn't take a break. If he kept this up then he would be too sore to do a lot for the exam tomorrow. He didn't care though. There was only one sentence that could describe the way he felt, "Almost isn't good enough."- Azula, Avatar The Last Airbender, Season 2

He stayed up till midnight training and ended up only getting two hours of sleep that night. He had fallen asleep at about three in the morning. He was exhausted, crabby, and irritated. Not a great way to start the day at all.

A/N- 429 words.
