Chapter 19: Unite and Acceptance
The air crackled with anticipation. After a decade of separation, a decade marked by mistrust and fear, the day of unity had finally arrived. The bridge, once a symbol of their fractured world, stood as a testament to the past. A decade ago, it had been torn apart by Jungkook's father, a violent act that had shattered the fragile peace between alphas and omegas. Now, it was a canvas for a new beginning.
Hundreds of omegas stood on the bridge, their faces a mix of hope and trepidation. They were a mere fraction of the thousands of alphas who were approaching, their powerful scents filling the air. The omegas, accustomed to their secluded haven, felt a surge of anxiety. But Jimin, their protector, stood tall, his presence a reassuring beacon of strength. Skilled omegas, their eyes sharp and alert, formed a protective circle around the others, their wolf forms simmering beneath the surface.
Taehyung, their leader, stood firm, his gaze unwavering. He felt the weight of his people's hopes on his shoulders. He had fought tirelessly for this moment, pushing back against those who sought to keep them divided. Now, as Jungkook and his pack approached, Taehyung could only hope that this fragile peace would hold.
"We are truly glad to see the omegas again," a deep voice boomed, breaking the silence. It was Jong-gook, former leader of the Cypress pack, a name that whispered of a time when all ranks of wolves lived as one. "I am here to witness the sealing of this deal. Please, come forward, Leader Kim."
Taehyung stepped forward, his heart pounding in his chest. He met Jungkook's gaze, the intensity of their connection palpable. Jungkook, in a gesture that was not part of the ceremony, took Taehyung's hands in his, their fingers intertwining.
"I, Jeon Jungkook, leader of the alphas, promise to protect and help all omegas under my watch," Jungkook declared, his voice firm and unwavering. "I will ensure that any alpha who harms or discriminates against an omega will be punished." His gaze never left Taehyung's, a silent promise etched in his eyes.
"I, Kim Taehyung, leader of the omegas, accept this deal and the unity it represents," Taehyung responded, his voice filled with a newfound confidence. "As leader, I will uphold the same principles of protection and equality."
A primal howl erupted, a wave of sound that swept across the bridge. Omegas and alphas, some transforming into their wolf forms, joined in the chorus, their voices echoing the shared hope for a brighter future. The broken bridge, under the alphas' magic, began to mend, slowly connecting the two lands. Alphas, their eyes searching for their mates, rushed towards the omegas, their reunion a poignant mix of joy and relief.
"You did a good job, Leader Kim," Jungkook said, his voice a low rumble. He looked at Taehyung, his eyes filled with admiration.
"Thank you, Alpha," Taehyung replied, a smile gracing his lips.
"You don't need to worry about your people," Jungkook assured him, his hand gently caressing the back of Taehyung's. "I will protect them, no matter what. This is my chance to show you how genuine I am." He leaned in, his lips brushing against the back of Taehyung's hand, sending a shiver down his spine.
Taehyung's face flushed, his breath catching in his throat. "I believe in you, Jungkook," he whispered, his voice barely audible.
Jungkook chuckled, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "I'd appreciate it even more if you said you loved me."
Just then, Taehyung's butler approached, carrying a small bundle wrapped in a soft blanket. "Leader Kim, the baby needs you," he said, his voice filled with concern.
Taehyung took the baby, his heart melting at the sight of the tiny, sleeping form. "I-Is that Natasha's baby?" he asked, his voice trembling slightly.
A new voice, laced with sadness, broke the silence. "How did you know her?" A tall alpha, his eyes filled with sorrow, stood beside Jungkook.
"I'm... I'm her mate, Kim Jisu," the alpha said, his voice cracking. "That means, I'm the baby's father."
Taehyung was glad to find the baby's father, but a pang of sadness struck him. He had grown so close to the baby, treating him as his own. He had comforted him, fed him, and sung him lullabies. The thought of giving him up filled him with a sense of loss.
"Do... do you want the baby?" Jungkook asked Jisu, his voice laced with concern.
Taehyung held his breath, his heart sinking. He hoped Jisu would say no.
Jisu sniffled, his eyes welling up with tears. "Yes. I failed Natasha, and I want to be a good father to our baby."
Jungkook saw the pain in Taehyung's eyes. "As of now, I won't give you the baby," Jungkook declared, his voice firm. "As your leader, I will decide if you are eligible to be the father. This omega has cared for the baby and your mate, and he has been granted guardianship."
Jisu bowed his head, his shoulders slumping with defeat. "I understand, Alpha. I will wait for the right time."
He left, and Taehyung, feeling a wave of relief, hugged the baby closer.
"Don't worry," Jungkook said, his voice a soothing balm. "He won't get the baby, no matter what."
Taehyung bit his lip, his voice laced with doubt. "But he has the right, Jungkook. He's still the father."
Jungkook pecked Taehyung's forehead, his touch a silent promise. "Just trust me. I won't give our baby away easily."
Jungkook knew he wouldn't use his position to keep the baby from his father. But he had seen that Jisu, at this moment, was not ready to be a father. He was still grieving, still struggling to come to terms with Natasha's loss. He needed time, time to heal and to prove himself worthy of the responsibility of fatherhood.

"What are you talking about? They already did what?!" Dongshik roared, his face contorted with fury. He slammed his fist on his desk, sending papers flying.
"They are now united as one, sir," his secretary said, his voice trembling slightly.
"Fucking hell! There's no way that's true!" Dongshik yelled, his voice thick with frustration.
"I'm sorry to say, sir, but it's true. The bridge is connected," the secretary said, his eyes fixed on the floor.
Dongshik glared at him, his eyes burning with rage. "That bastard!" he growled, his teeth clenched.
"Should we continue our plan with that omega, sir?"
"Yes, we won't stop not until I have that omega in my hand. That omega should be mine no matter what happened. I want to have Kim Taehyung here on my property." Dongshik retorted sternly.
"But sir, it will be dangerous for us."
"I don't care! All I want is that omega. Once we have him, we can do whatever we wanted. He will be the key to our success. He's everything we needed to get to the top." Dongshik stated through his gritted teeth.
"I understand sir, I will train our alliance to be prepared for our attack."
Dongshik slammed his hand on his desk while fuming in anger. He only set his goal to get Kim Taehyung, that's it.
