She shot up, trying to pry her throat open like there was a collar. A bitter disgusting tang in her mouth. She was heavily gasping, crystal droplets running down her back and porcelain face.
The morning glory poured into her room. It was so bright and warm, she hated it. Looking over at the small digital clock, it flashed 6:30. It was almost time for school.

Smiling masks embroidered with yellow in every direction, all eyes on her. Everyone was wearing these weird masks. She never knew why. The corridor pitch black with nothing but a door at the end.
With nothing of warmth, she made a dash to the door. It was like a daily routine. She felt like puking and crying, but didn't know why. On the other side was just a plain normal classroom. Class had already started.
Lectures were boring, and the minutes felt dreadful. She couldn't make out the teachers's voice, no matter what. The ticking of the clock was bothering her.
'Stage Cleared!'
Her eyes diverted to the person in front of her. Soft clicking and game effects could be heard. It was kinda... soothing. The bleached hair boy seemed to be very focused.
Unconsciously, she reached out to poke him. He jumped and hesitantly turned around.
Her eyes widened. It was the first time she saw someone without a mask. His cat like eyes brightly shone. It was captivating.
