"Yachi-san, wake up." I slowly opened my eyes, staring straight into the eyes of my boyfriend, opening my arms wide open for a hug. "Welcome home."

"O-oh, I'm home." He responded. Instead of giving me my hug he slowly scooped me up and carried me bridal style. "Why were you sleeping on the couch?"

Because I knew exactly where he was carrying me to, I closed my eyes again, giving him my full trust. "I was waiting for you to come home, before I knew it, I fell asleep."

He slowly put me down on our bed and put the blanket over me. "You didn't have to do that, I told you I wasn't going to miss the stop." He responded. "Yeah, but I can't help being worried about you, you know?"

He gave my forehead a quick peck and then walked toward the direction of the bedroom door. "I'm going to take a quick bath and then unpack my luggage. Get some good sleep okay?" I nodded my head in agreement.

Slowly, but surely, my eyes and brain began to completely shut down.

"It has been confirmed, three Japanese born superstar volleyball players have signed one year contracts with Brazil's top team Funvic Taubate; Hinata Shoyo from the Black Jackals, Kiyoomi Sakusa also from the Black Jackals, and Toru Oikawa!"

Both Hinata and I quickly turned our heads toward the screen. "According to some official sources: After Argentina decided to cancel the volleyball season because of the current pandemic, Toru Oikawa was offered a one year contract from Funvic Taubate." The sports journalist continued. "Apparently Oikawa agreed to the contract after being told the team recently acquired Hinata Shoyo for the upcoming season."

I looked at Hinata and smiled. "At least you'll have some friends coming joining the team with you." Hinata nodded in agreement. "I guess things are getting alot more intresting."

The time is currently 09:30, I woke up around 08:00 and took a shower. I then went downstairs to prepare breakfast for Hinata and I, but was surprised to figure out Hinata already made the breakfast. Everytime we eat breakfast we turn on the TV to the sports channel to keep up to date with what's happening in the sports world. Usually nothing crazy happens but today was the complete opposite. To think that three of the best Japanese players would end up on the same team in a whole different country.

From what Hinata told me, the first person they contacted was himself. After signing the contract, they asked him how would he feel if they were able to aquire Hinata's teammate from the Black Jackals, Kiyoomi Sakusa. Hinata being Hinata, of course told them he would be excited to play with a familiar face, especially since Kiyoomi Sakusa is considered the best ace in Japan. Mainly because the actual best ace in Japan plays on a team that didn't do so well this season (Kiryu from the Green Rockets). But the Oikawa signing is something the team have never brought up to Hinata.

"That's weird, why didn't Funvic Taubate contact you and told you they signed Oikawa-san?" I asked. "It was probably a last minute signing, Argentina canceling their season came out of nowhere. So the team probably immediately went after Oikawa the second they heard the news, and didn't have the time to tell either me or Sakusa-san."

That just goes to show that volleyball is also a business. If the organization sees any chance to improve the team they'll go after that chance, even if it means having to spend alot of money.

"Yachi-san, are you okay on time?" Hinata asked, grabbing my finished plate to clean. "It's already almost 10:00, shouldn't you be going to work?"

I immediately looked at the time and started to pack my laptop into my bag. "Oh crap! I was so distracted by the news that I forgot I even had work today!"

I quickly zipped up my bag and ran toward Hinata. "Bye bye, I'll see you tonight. Love you." I said, giving him a peck on the lips. "Alright see you later, love you too." He responded.

With that, I ran as fast as I possibly could to the bus stop.

------

"Yachi-san! This is the first time you've ever been exactly on time. You usually come thirty to forty minutes early." My co-worker stated as I put my belongings on my desk. "I'm sorry! I got distracted and before I realized it, the time was already 10:00."

My co-workers both stared at each other and flashed and evil grin. Which meant bad news for me, since they usually make that face when they're ready to tease me.

"Oh my, was somebody excited that their boyfriend is going to be staying home for the next two weeks and forgot they had work?" I looked away, I could tell I was blushing since my face was burning. "No! I was watching the news and forgot about the time!" I yelled in response.

Of course I was excited that I can spend the next two weeks alone with Hinata, but that wasn't the reason why I was distracted.... I think.

"Don't be so shy Yachi-san. If I had a boyfriend like Shoyo-san I would be excited too." I stared daggers into her heart. "Don't call him that." I responded.

She was definitely nervous after I said that, I could see the sweat droplets coming down her face. "S-sorry, I meant Hinata-san."

How dare she call him by his first name! I haven't even called him by his first name yet.....

"Wait, don't tell me your mad because you haven't called him by his first name yet?" Once again I looked away, blushing. "Really?! You've been best friend for years, and dating for months, but haven't even called him by his first name yet?!"

I refused to look at their direction. "I've never really thought about it until now." I responded. "What are you going to do when you meet his family before you guys leave for Brazil? You can't call him by last name, his whole family is going to respond if you do that."

She wasn't wrong, I can't call him Hinata in front of his little sister and mother. They're all going to think I'm calling out to them when I actually mean to just call out to my boyfriend. Ughhhh, why did she have to bring this up at work? I won't be able to focus on the project all day because of this.

Slowly, but surely, we were getting the design for the poster finished. The objective for the poster was to put the main attraction in the middle, while also making it the biggest. The main attraction, of course, being the Black Jackals' starting lineup. After the end of the regular season the Jackals merchandise sales reached an insane amount of profit for the organization. Hinata's and Bokuto-san's jerseys sold out in only a few minutes (luckily for me, Hinata gave me a free jersey). Miya Atsumu and Kiyoomi Sakusa jerseys sold out a few minutes after Hinata's and Bokuto-san's jerseys did. There was absolutely no questions who were the favorites for the upcoming playoffs.

Since we were almost done with the draft we each decided we would go home early. I honestly wanted to finish the draft today but my co-workers told me to just go home to Hinata. They obviously felt bad for me since I was working during the only time Hinata has time off.

I'm currently on the bus to go home. Surprisingly no crazy events occured today. Besides from me being late of course. I scrolled through my text messages with Hinata, smiling at every single 'I love you' or 'I miss you'. As of right now, my life is perfect and I couldn't have asked for a better one. Being "villager B" wasn't too bad.

I continued to scroll through my messages with Hinata, debating if I should tell him I'm coming home early or surprise him. But all of a sudden my phone started vibrating and my ringtone started going off. I looked at the contact name of the person calling me.

"Yamaguchi-kun?"

I take that back, maybe life isn't so perfect. Past regrets and anxiety are now coming back to haunt me.
