It's Friday night and Joey is having his sleepover. Let me just start off by saying that these boys are giving me major anxiety! I swear i'm going to have grey hair by the time the weekend is over and they leave...

They are wrestling, jumping off of everything, daring each other to do things that i think have stopped my heart in fear a few times, and they've just been going non stop since i picked them all up from school.

"Hey, Joey's mom! Can we play with the baby?" Parker asked. Oh, yeah, that's my new identity. I'm not Kenslea, i'm referred to as 'Joey's mom' now. It's kind of hilarious though not going to lie.

"Sure, but you can't rough house with him or around him." I reminded. They are pretty good about being gentle with him, but i also know how boys can be, especially five year old boys.

"Don't worry, mom. I will protect him. I won't let anything hurt him." Joey promised. He's been calling me mom all week, and it still manages to melt my heart every time.

"Okay, sweetheart. I know you won't, you're a great big brother." I kissed the top of his head and then set Cade down so that he could play with the boys. Much to his excitement, he loves playing with his big brother, and Joey is great with him.

"I'm going to go finish getting dinner ready, your father should be home soon. When you're done playing with your brother let me know and i'll come get him so you guys can play."

"Okay, mom!" I smiled and ruffled his hair, then went into the kitchen to finish dinner. I've had the roast cooking in the slow cooker the majority of the afternoon so it's done, i just need to work on the sides.

Fifteen minutes later i was cooking and listening to the boys play with Cade when Tadley came home.

"Hey, beautiful! How was your day?" He asked walking into the kitchen after he greeted the boys.

"It was good, the boys are bound and determined to kill me. They are all a bunch of little daredevils. I had to stop Joey from jumping from the top of the stairs, because he was sure he could make it all the way down." I shook my head and let out an exaggerated breath.

"Boys will be boys." Tadley shrugged with a grin.

"Yeah, i'm not prepared for all of this! I think i'm going to have grey hair by the time they leave." I pouted. Tadley just laughed and gave me a kiss.

"You'll still look beautiful either way!" He winked.

"Smooth." I smirked at him and he just grinned at me in return. "Dinner is almost done, go tell the boys to go wash their hands for dinner and get Cade cleaned up as well, please."

"Yes ma'am!" He saluted me and then turned and ran off to get the boys ready as i started plating the food. I just made roast, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, and carrots.

"Dinner, Dinner, Dinner, Dinner, Dinner!" All the boys came running down chanting, with Tadley leading the line. I couldn't help but laugh, he's so ridiculous, but he's so good with kids. He's an excellent daddy.

"It's done, don't worry, i won't let you boys fade away to nothing. Sit down and let's eat." I got the boys some drinks and then sat down and cut Cade's food into small pieces. He's slowly starting to eat more and more solid food.

"Mmmmm, can you come teach my mommy how to cook? Her cooking is yucky! Daddy says she can burn water." Seth said wrinkling his nose.

"Seth! You can't tell your mommy that! Even if her food tastes yucky you have to tell her it's really good otherwise she'll be sad." Joey exclaimed sounding horrified that Seth would say something like that about his mother. I narrowed my eyes playfully at him.
