"Hai" Shoyo said.  'I did it. I joined a team..I have friends..mom' she thought to herself. "Come sit. We'll all talk and then we can see how u play with a six on six match. Kiyoko and Yachi wont come till later if you were wondering" Daichi said. "O-okay" Shoyo said nervously. Her first positive interaction with someone other than her family was with Suga like 2 weeks ago. She wasnt used to people being nice at all. She sat in the circle between Kageyama and Tsukishima.

"Even though we got some questions in today at lunch, would you answer some more?" Suga, who's across from her asked. Shoyo nodded. 'I'm fighting the urge to analyze this circles' diameter and how it would change based on the area of the gym' "Shrimp stop calculating random things and focus" Tsukishima said. "Uwahh I'm not.." she looked away. "How'd you know?" She said. "You've got that same look you did in class while writing those notes." he responded. Shoyo, now with an embarrassed blush across her face. "I was fighting to not do it okay hmph" she pouted. "Ok when you said that your brain automatically calculates and analyzes things I didnt think you were serious" Ennoshita said. "Yea sometimes I cant help it.."

"Alright let's not get off topic. For starters what made you join?" Daichi asked. "Well.. Suga-san did" "HUH ME?" Said person screeched out. "Well yea it was because of what you said at lunch."
"What'd he say at lunch?" Coach asked.
"I said that theres more to a volleyball team than volleyball itself. But why would that make you join?" Suga asked confused. "You know how I'm from Spain and stuff?" "Yea?" Everyone said. "Well um see in Spain, I was bullied a lot for being the youngest and shortest and for being a nerd. Other things too for my whole entire life. So I've never actually had friends before you guys, meaning I've never had any social  interactions outside my family. Most of my emotions I hardly understand." Shoyo said.

They all looked at her with a sympathy and a bit of pity. "I used to be a bit of a stoic" she continued. "Everyday there was one person I'd always be with. She was like my trainer. She was captain of a lot of teams and when I asked why she said the same thing Suga said. Theres more to a team than the sport itself." The boys eyes widen. "See I'm a bit stupid when it comes to feely things so for 5 or 6 years I had no idea what she meant. Last night, my Niichan explained it to me. He said I use my brain more than my heart. I admit it's still a bit confusing but he just said to have fun and that a team is like a family. I like the idea of that so...um...yea" She finished looking down, nervously laughing as she scratched her neck a bit.

"Damn sorry orangehead" Coach said patting her hair. "Eh dont worry about it." She said. "Shoyo, you kept saying was. Did she get old and reti- ITAI!" Noya said getting smacked in the head by Ennoshita. Noya hissed at him. Shoyo looked at them and blinked then looked towards Kageyama questioning this. "Its normal hinata Boke. Just go with it" "okay?" "So did she retire?" Tanaka continued also getting a smack on the head but  from Narita since they understood the possibilities. Shoyo sadly laughed. "Oh uh no..she um died"
Everyone tensed and glared at the two energetic second years. " Sorry..." they said in unison. Shoyo waved it off. "No worries" she said, though you could see the pain in the smile.

"You're from Spain, so do do you speak spanish?" Kinoshita asked trying to lighten the mood. 'Thank you Kino' they all silently thanked. "Yea I speak Spanish, it comes out sometimes randomly." Then Yamaguchi and Tsukishima snickered remembering the scrunchie situation. Shoyo lightly punched Tsukishima. "HEY! Dont laugh at that you two!  We dont speak of that situation." Shoyo said covering her face.
"Situation?"Asahi repeated. And the two held their hands over their mouths. They didnt know why it was so funny but it was. Yamaguchi caught his breath. "In class Hinata tried putting her hair up but the hair tie popped. She looked really pissed off for a few seconds then spoke in spanish. It honestly had no right being funny." He started laughing again and everyone chuckled except Asahi who had some tic marks appearing. "I feel you Hinata. I feel you. It's so annoying. Even worse when you dont have another one or if it was your main." He said. "I know right" shoyo responded.
