Two hours passed by in complete silence. Neither Kimmon nor Copter, tried to break the awkward silence that prevailed at the condo. Kimmon squirmed in his seat, feeling the tingling sensation in his numb legs. He stood up from the sofa and stretched his leg slowly.
“You can use the toilet in the room by the staircase”, Copter said in a small voice, without looking at Kimmon.
“Huh?”, Kimmon felt his heart race all of a sudden, “Hmmm… yeah, thanks. Hmmm… is that your room?”
Copter gave a slight nod, before going back to picking on the edge of the couch with his fingernails. Kimmon entered Copter’s room and looked around curiously. The room was plain and dull with no much décor or furniture. There were no photo frames or celebrity posters or any other fancy cool stuffs, which a typical teenager would usually have in their room. There was a study table at the corner of the room with books arranged neatly on it, and another wall mounted shelf full of books.
“As expected out of that kitten!!”, Kimmon remarked to himself and entered the bathroom.
Kimmon freshened up quickly and exited the bathroom, when he saw Copter walking out of the room after placing a fresh towel on the bed. He followed Copter to the living room and stopped him near the couch.
“Kit…”, the name flew out of his mouth, before Kimmon could stop himself.
Copter turned to face Kimmon, but had his eyes locked to the ground.
“Are you okay?”, Kimmon asked hesitantly.
Copter nodded with a hum and tried to move away. But Kimmon caught Copter’s wrist and stopped him again.
“Are you sure? You look so pale. When was the last time you ate something?”, Kimmon asked worried.
When Copter didn’t respond, Kimmon pulled Copter to the couch.
“Sit here”, Kimmon ordered, “I will bring something for you to eat”
“I am not hungry”, Copter replied in a barely audible whisper.
Kimmon glared at Copter and left towards the kitchen. Ten minutes later, Kimmon placed a mug of coffee in front of Copter on the table.
“Eat”, he commanded, placing a plate of sandwich on Copter’s lap.
“I am… I am not hungry”, Copter pushed the plate away.
“Eat”, Kimmon repeated again.
Copter shook his head slowly and placed the plate on the coffee table, “Can you call P’Tony and ask if they found something about P’Tee? P’Tae is not answering my call”
“Eat”, Kimmon snapped in anger.
“Please….”, Copter’s eyes brimmed with tears.
