In the day following the triplets' birthday, our trio was walking to the academy together while ignoring the growing whispers.

Have you heard? The demon-child finally got disinherited

That devil is starting to get what it deserves

Each child had their respective summon watching over them from the shadows again. Naruto had left before his siblings woke up, except for his sister Minako who gave him a late birthday gift. The gift was a necklace with a small fox charm on it, which was long enough to reach the middle of his chest. His parents explained why they made their decision, and he lied to them saying he didn't want to be clan head in the first place. His parents thought that was why he played pranks around the village so they didn't see how fake his smile was while he was speaking.

Back to the walk, they finally reached the academy and sat in the back of their class by the window to speak to each other. Another thing that happened that day was after the party, Hinata's father told her she would fight Hanabi for the title of clan heiress in the near future. It almost seemed as though the universe was purposely trying to ruin their lives.

Naruto POV

Sasuke was in the middle of explaining how he would like to torture my parents when I looked out the window and saw a girl with pink hair being bullied by a bunch of older kids. I told Hinata and Sasuke and we ran outside to her aid.

I got there first since I used the window. "STOP IT AND GET AWAY FROM HER!" I yelled. The guys did stop, but then started laughing at him. "What are you gonna do to us, your just the failure son of the Hokage" one of them said to me in a mocking tone. "If you won't listen to him," Sasuke said while walking onto the scene, "maybe you'll listen to me. I'm Sasuke Uchiha, second in line to be the Uchiha clan head. This girl next to me is Hinata Hyuuga, heiress of the Hyuuga clan" he continued gesturing to Hinata "so here's a suggestion for you. Listen to what he's saying right now, or suffer the consequences." "Oh I am so scared." Another one of the kids said, sarcasm evident in his voice. "What could a couple of spoiled brats do to us?" 

"I recommend you do what the 'spoiled brats' are saying if you don't want to get in trouble with their clans".

"Iruka sensei!" Hinata said happily, then she started blushing when she realized everyone was looking at her.

I looked over at the pinkette who had still tears in her eyes while looking at us. "Thank you very much, I'm sorry I couldn't do anything for myself. I'm so pathetic and weak, I'm practically useless." I frowned to myself before replying "You're not any of those things you just said. Those guys over there are the weak ones for making fun of a girl who is obviously younger and smaller than them. I forgot to ask earlier, but aren't you in our class in the academy? Sakura Haruno the civilian clan heir?"

No one POV

"That's me." She said sniffling as she spoke. Hinata came over and asked her softly "Why are your bangs hiding your face like that? With a facial structure like that, you would look better with bangs framing your face. Like this" she said while splitting her bangs in half and framing her face, just like she explained. "There, all we need now is a headband or a ribbon to complete the look."

I gave her the ribbon from the present I got this morning, and she tied it in a bow on the now named Sakura. "Perfect. Now can you tell us why those guys were picking on you?". Sakura looked at the ground for a while before answering. "I have pink hair and a huge forehead, which is the ugliest combination in the world. Everyone makes fun of my forehead because of how big it is, so that's why I cover it with my bangs."

Hinata hugged her before saying "I have pale eyes that are almost white and I have blue hair. My father, sister and almost everyone in my family have either black or brown hair. Sasuke over there has a duck's butt for a hairstyle." This earned a small "hey" from Sasuke and a small laugh from Sakura and Naruto. 

"Naruto , the giggly one over here, can't choose a decent outfit for the life of him" This earned a whine from Naruto and even more laughter from Sakura. "The point I'm trying so desperately to get across is that we all have imperfections. We just need to learn to live with them.

"How about you sit with us in class today? You seem like you could use a few new friends." Sasuke said. Naruto stood there in shock, "The teme isn't acting emo for once? The world is ending." he said dramatically. Sasuke hit him on the head while shouting at him "I'm not emo"

Sakura started laughing again, her tears long-forgotten. "I guess I'll stay with you guys, since your all so fun." All the feelings from the walk to the academy were long gone as they joked around while going into class, Hinata and Sakura sitting next to each other with Sasuke and Naruto squeezing in the same table together.

Timeskip/Naruto POV

Class was pretty uneventful. Sakura fit in perfectly with our little group, she was also the smartest one. She told us her parents didn't want her to be a ninja because she would be a better civilian. I told her how my so-called 'godfather' said the same about me. We agreed to teach each other and train together as a group to get stronger.

It was now target practice time, the one subject both Sasuke and I like. His fangirls are basically trying to burn Hinata and Sakura with their glares for being so close to their precious 'Sasuke-kun'. I don't know why but I feel jealous for some reason whenever they cling onto Sasuke in class or on our way home. Anyways back to the target practice, I was helping Sakura throw the kunais better when I realized my kunais were unbalanced. They were the standard academy issued ones we got every year, but mine felt different than before. I went over to Mizuki-sensei, who I'm pretty sure hates me for the recently found out Kyuubi sealed into me, to tell him about it.

"Mizuki-sensei, can I get new shuriken quickly, mine feel unbalanced for some reason." He looked at me with disgust and hatred in his eyes for a split second before they turned warm and kind as he said "Oh, sure. Just borrow from someone else for the time being and get new ones after class."

I did what he said and once class was over, our little group went to the weapons shop to get new kunais. Sakura also wanted to get new kunai so she stopped at her place to get some money. The others did the same, so when we got to the shop we started looking through the displayed weapons for the ones we needed. Sakura and I found a silvery red katana I wanted, but I didn't have the money for it, so I put it back and got 10 new kunai and some new black ninja sandals I liked. When we were leaving the store Sasuke turned to me and gave me the katana I saw earlier.

"Don't just stand there dobe, take it as a late gift for your birthday."

"O-okay then, thanks." I said to him. "Don't mention it,'' he said smiling at me.
