Diabetes Sucks

Sam's POV:

"Shut up Ricky you don't even know how to penny board!" Jc said throwing popcorn at Ricky.

We all laughed. The guys and I were having a movie night. So we stacked up on popcorn, scary movies and basically every candy and soda in existence.

"Alright let's get this show on the road!" Connor says, flopping on the couch. "What movie are we watching!" I ask, shoving some skittles in my mouth.

"Umm how about The Conjuring?" Kian suggests. We all agree and get seated on the couch.

Halfway through the movie, we'd already gone through about 4 sodas each, at least 20 bags of candy and 3 bags of popcorn.

Kian was laughing as Jc tried to throw skittles in his mouth, and failing miserably. I started to feel kinda lightheaded, but I ignored it.

20 minutes it was starting to become unbearable, and my head was hurting like a bitch. Finally, I decided to go to bed, hoping to sleep it off.

"Alright guys, I'm gonna go to bed." I said standing up. "Aww come on man it's only 12:00!" Jc exclaimed. "I know I'm just really tired." I lied.

"Fineee" they grumbled. I started to make my way to the staircase, when the dizzy feeling overwhelmed me. I tried to regain my balance, but my knees buckled, and my world went black.

Ricky's POV:

"Fineee" we said, as Sam walked to the staircase. All of the sudden our conversation was interrupted by a loud *THUD*

I immediately stood up. "Sam? Was that you?" I walked into the hallway to see Sam sprawled out on the floor, unconscious.

"Jesus Sam are you okay?!" I rushed over, the guys right behind me. "Oh shit, he's out cold." Jc said.

"What happened?" Kian asked worriedly. "I have no idea! Maybe we should like bring him to his room." I questioned.

They agreed and helped me bring him to his room. Right as we put him on his bed, he began to wake up. He groaned, his eyes slowly opening.

"Hey, are you okay?"i asked. He looked around confused. "W-what happened?" Sam croaked out.

"That's what we would like to know. You just passed out in the hallway." Jc said. All of the sudden Sam's eyes widened.

He jumped up from the bed and sprinted to the bathroom, immediately puking violently in the toilet. "Oh god Sam what hap-" But I couldn't finish after I saw what was in the toilet.

Blood. Sam had thrown up blood. "Oh my god." Connor said behind me. "Jc go start the car, we need to take Sam to the hospital." Connor demanded.

Jc hurried out of the bathroom, as we cleaned up. "Can you stand?" I asked Sam. He weakly nodded. I helped him up, but right away his knees buckled, and I caught him.

"No you can't, here." I said as kian helped me carry Sam to the car. Once we were in the vehicle, he started shaking profusely.

"Oh god. Here take this." Kian said, wrapping his jacket around Sam. When we got to the hospital, he was immediately rushed into the ER, while we had to wait in a waiting room.

After a few hours of waiting a doctor came into the waiting room. "Sam Pottorf?" He asked.

We all stood up. "Hi it seems that your friend has type 2 diabetes. When he ate of all that sugar his body was overwhelmed and couldn't digest it all. That was very dangerous. However, he will be okay but he needs to take medicine to keep it under control, and has to test his blood sugar daily."

We all sighed a breath of relief. "Can we go see him?" Kian asked. The doctor nodded, motioning for us to follow him. He led us to Sams room where he was sitting in his bed looking at his phone.

"Hey Sam!" I said softly. His head snapped up towards us. "Hey you guys" he said with a smile.

"How're you feeling?" Connor asked. Sam shrugged. "Better than I did before." He replied.

"Why didn't you just tell us you weren't feeling well? We could've helped you sooner." Jc said.

"I don't know, I didn't want to ruin the fun you know." He replied, looking down. I chuckled a bit.

"You wouldn't have ruined the fun believe me." I said. Sam laughs a little and says "So I guess no more crazy movie nights huh?"

We all laugh " No not for awhile Samuel."

Heyoooo so this isn't the big story I was talking about, I'm still working on that to make sure it's extra special >:D but I thought I'd post a few one shots to keep talk occupied, so enjoy! Well that's all for now!
