"Hey Meliodas, I'm just going out to buy some cake for our anniversary next week, do you want anything?" It was 9:00 AM on a Tuesday morning, and Elizabeth had gotten up bright and early to prepare for her and Meliodas' anniversary....which was still a week away. "Elizabeth, why wake me up over cake? And can you get me some Vanya ale please? The tavern's been dropping in sales because we don't have enough." Though some would see it rude, Elizabeth simply smiled and nodded, stalking off into Liones. She was finally at peace with her soulmate.

Seconds later, Meliodas got a knock on the door, though who could it be (probably not hard to guess)? "Come in, whoever you are." He shouted from his bed. He wasn't going to bother getting out. Suddenly, he was forced out by a large figure teleporting in front of him and taking him by surprise. "Missed me Captain?" Merlin said confidently, standing over Meliodas, who was now face-planting the ground beneath his bed.

"Yo Merlin! What would you be wanting at a time like this?" He was still half-asleep, and wasn't going to bother getting up from the floor. He was definitely uncomfortable, but that didn't seem to bother him much. "I was just coming to see if Sis-Sis was in, but she clearly isn't, so I'll be taking my leave. Tell her I want to speak to her when she comes back, would you?" She started stalking away, when Meliodas' warm hand reached for her shoulder. "Merlin, I need to talk to you. It's important. Really important."

"Go ahead Captain, say what you must." She uttered curiously, waiting for his response. She could tell he was serious, as he'd let go of his usual goofy tone. It was times like these she loved the most, the feeling of mystery as she waits for him to say something, to give her something else to think about. The tension was unreal to her. "Long story short, I'm bored of Elizabeth now and I want you instead." This was one of the only moments in Merlin's life that caused her to break her streak of tranquility.

"Seriously Captain? You make me endure years of pain waiting for this moment, just to do it when I've gone off the idea? What would Sis-Sis say?" She shouted at him, unimpressed. He looked bewildered.

 He looked bewildered
