Noelle had spent the morning outside teaching Fred how to ride her board, they were definitely getting places but they were no where near ready to let him ride on his own. He had fallen more times then he even got on the board, tripping over it 3 times.
"Fred I'm telling you this one more time and that's it, you have to position your feet AFTER you kick off! What don't you understand!?" Noelle shouted as the boy fell off her board once again not having his feet angled right.
"Yeah ya know you keep saying that...but I'm not entirely sure you know what your saying to be honest." Fred replies sitting against a tree, his knees to his chest.
"I think I'd know if I was saying something wrong! I'm pretty sure I'm the skater not you." She rolled her eyes walking to pick up the board.
"I think that's enough for today, let's go." She grabbed Fred's hand, helping him up and dragging him inside.
"Get any closer today?" George asks as Noelle sets her board against the wall of the burrow.
"What do you think?" Sarcastically asking George as she sits beside Fred on the couch. George's laughter boomed as he fell back on the loveseat earning him a glare from Fred.
"One day." Noelle added laughing and throwing her head back into Fred's shoulder as he wrapped his arm around hers.
"Shut it." Fred rolled his eyes, pulling Noelle onto his lap, wrapping his hand around her waist, her hands making it to his hair.
"Are you two excited for your date tonight?" Ginny asked sitting down beside George on the love seat.
"Yeah of course! Although Fred hasn't exactly told me where we're going.."
"I told you you'll see when we get there."
Noelle scoffed as she started small conversation with the young girl in front of her as Fred starred at her as if she was the only girl in the world. Her voice seemed angelic and her eyes as blue as the ocean. Her smile could light up a room and her laugh...her laugh made him feel like he was drowning. His breath hitched in his throat, he was sinking further into awe. Every look she gave him, every smile she passed him, every joke she made, she was special. She was the only one for him. And he knew he couldn't want it any other way.
Hours passed and Ginny was helping Noelle get ready for the date she was so over ecstatic for.
"Nice or casual?" Ginny asked going through Noelles trunk they had brought into Ginnys room.
"He said nice but casual...so I guess just not to fancy? I'm not sure..he said something comfy but something cute. God he's so difficult how am I supposed to know what that means-" she was cut off by the red headed girl holding up a white shortsleeved crop top with fringe on the bottom all the way around and a pair of light blue ripped jeans. She took the clothes from her as she gave me a red bandana and my white air forces.
"There!" The girl stepped back admiring her fashion skills.
"Okay go put it on!"
____________________________________"Fred I'm telling you, you look fine!" George commented as Fred paced back and fourth, catching glances at himself in the mirror. He had on a white half sleeved button up which had 3 top buttons undone, revealing his toned chest, a pair of dark blue jeans and his matching white air forces.
"I'm telling you-"
"Shut up! Let me think..." Fred snapped sitting on the bed in front of the mirror.
"If it makes you feel any better I just seen El in the hall and she looks just as cute/casual as you." George said, smirking to himself. Fred sighed and stood up, running his fingers through his hair and stepping out of his room. He made his way to Ginnys, knocking before slowly opening the door.
His mouth dropped as he looked the girl he'd be so lucky to accompany him on a date up and down. Her head fell as a smile crossed her face and her cheeks turned red.
"You've got a bit of a staring problem Weasley.." she said quietly, just loud enough for them to hear her.
He shook his head out of his gaze and held his hand out to the black haired girl.
"Ready?"
"Yup!"
"We'll be back hopefully before nightfall but I wouldn't wait up." Fred winked at his siblings before exiting the room with the girl.
"So where are we going?"
"Nope!"
"Ugh come onnnnn! I hate surprises."
"This is gonna be a good one I promise!"
Fred took her outside and walked her to a picnic table where he had set out a bouquet of flowers.
"Go on..grab them." As she went to grab them he did as well, sending them into a swirl of colors and landing them harshly on the ground, on top of a strategically placed blanket.
She looked up from the blanket, slowly standing straight as she took in her surroundings.
"Fred this-this is gorgeous..." she stuttered unable to take her eyes off the beautiful scenery in front of her.
"I remember you telling me what your dream date was..and I tried my best to make that true for you." The boy said coming up behind her and hugging her as she looked up into his eyes.
"I love it." She whispered looking back down to the place in front of her.
"Yeah I thought you would...it took a lot of work but I was glad I was able to get it set up for you! Well..I told Ron what I wanted and he and Harry set it up..so I hope everything is good and if it isn't blame them! I just didn't wanna leave you all day."
Her laugh echoed across the pit of season carnival in front of them. Fairy lights hanging from every post, lights on the rides and games beaming off of each other, flower petals on every brick path.
He grabbed the girls hand and ran with her through the carnival all the way to the back at the Ferris wheel.
"I remembered..I remembered you telling me you wanted your first kiss to be magical..like in the movies...where the ferris wheel gets stuck at the top and they make eye contact and...I wanted to make yours just as special..or just as cheesy" the boy laughs looking up at the the top, grabbing her hand and rushing her to the the side and grabbing their brooms. They flew to the top and set their brooms across from them, laughing as the seat swayed by their weight and the wind.
"This is great Freddie, this couldn't have been the better date. I can't believe you actually remembered that I told you this is what I wanted. We were like 13, almost 2 years ago.." she laughed looking at the red headed boy in his eyes, his shining eyes.
"I listen..I'm good at listening.." he replied looking down at this girl in her ocean blue eyes. Leaning closer with every breath until their mere inches away from each other, feeling their breath on each other's cheeks.
"Freddie-" she whispered before feeling the boys lips on hers, his arms wrapping around her waist pulling her closer, hers wrapping around his neck, melting into the kiss. He pulled away a minute later looking back at her, her cheeks were red and her eyes were closed, waiting to feel the spark once again. She slowly opened her eyes looking at the boy in front of her, smiling.
"Freddie- thank you...this was the best night I've had in...in a long time." She rested her head on his shoulder as he put his arm around hers, rubbing her arm and resting his head on hers.
"I'm glad I could assist you through your happiness journey." He laughed with the girl.
Tonight would be a night neither of them would ever forget.
