Chapter 2

The next couple days went by in a daze. You scolded yourself constantly.

Why am I so worked up about Tendou? It's not that big of a deal...but it hurt. So much.

You lose count of how many times he called. Or texted. You read the messages but didn't even want to process what he was saying.

Please answer me. I know you can see my texts and calls. You didn't even show up to the cafe to talk to me.

Deep down you wanted to accept his apologies and hear him out. But why were you so stubborn? Why couldn't you just pick up the phone?

Rolling over in bed, the song you were listening to changed and instantly you recognized the next one and felt the music.

Turning your headphones up you fell asleep to the comfort of your favorite songs.

It was a Sunday, chore day. Study and make sure homework is done day. The sky was overcast, the threat of a rainstorm approaching quickly.

Ushijima didn't question or ask why you just shuffled around the house. He did bring you food and water when you couldn't find the motivation to get it yourself. And even took the sometimes full plates and cups to wash. He knew you needed your space and that just made you love and respect him more.

Your parents came and go from work but you just pretended to sleep or were doing something so conversation wasn't necessary.

It was a sluggish day, the hours going slow but you made it through it. Helping Ushi with the farm, making sure they got nutrients and water. It felt nice to have the cold, fresh smelling air on your skin.

Beating Ushi to it, you started on dinner. Jamming out you relaxed into the music and got to work. Working around the kitchen you started to prepare the food, but realized you needed ingredients.

Should I ask Ushijima to go get them or should I just walk and get it?

I do have to pass Tendou's house if I do decide to go. Is it worth it?
"I don't wanna see him...it hurts just thinking about it."
BUT THAT KISS...

Shaking the intruding thoughts of your kiss with Tendou out of your head you thought for a minute. Ushi would most likely get distracted by the skin care and fitness magazines and probably even stop at Tendou's house. It would be quicker if you went by yourself.

I shouldn't let him stop me from simply walking to the store. If I do happen to run into him then I'll just ignore him. Simple as that.

Going outside, Ushi was overlooking the farm and you told him you were gonna get things for dinner. Of course he asked if you wanted him to come and help but you insisted that you were gonna be fine. He reminded to hurry before the storm started and to grab your umbrella.

"Oh hey...if you happen to see Tendou invite him for dinner, you know he loves your food. Even though he doesn't always finish his food, you know he tries.", Ushijima said. You hadn't told anyone, you didn't even have a best friend. All your friends were online and countries away, but you hadn't had the motivation to pour your feelings out to them yet.
