Chapter Five

Eddie's POV

I found it strange, ever since mommy found out I had asthma shes been treating me like I've been diagnosed with cancer or some other crazy disease.

The party would start soon and Richie, Stan, and Bill would finally be here. I had my room set up with fun bored games to play and extra blankets to make forts with. It was going to be the awesomest party ever!!!

Eventually everyone showed up holding gifts and overnight bags.

"Happy birthday Ed's!" Richie smiled.

I huffed acting annoyed, "dont call be Ed's you dork."

My mommy gasped softly, "honey, that is no way to talk to your friends."

I felt a soft ping of guilt in my belly, "I'm sorry mommy."

"Happy b-b-birthday Eddie." Bill stuttered out softly.

"Happy birthday." Stan said to me while looking at Bill, he seemed proud of Bill for stuttering less.

"Thank you guys, I'm happy you could all come over. And I'm sorry for ruining the gender reveal, the doctor says it's achemia... no um, asthma, yea that's it. The doctor says it's asthma." Eddie chuckled softly.

"My moms, aunts, cousins, friend has asthma." Richie smiled proudly.

Eddie rolled his eyes, "cool, now come on let's go build a fort!" He said excitedly.

No One's POV

Sonia shook her head, "we'll have cake and icecream in an hour and pizza will be here soon!" She called after the boys.

Sonia looked back at Maggie, Sharon, and Andrea with a fake smile.

"Keep em safe." Sharon joked with a chuckle, bouncing Georgie in her arms softly, waving goodbye as she walked back to her car.

Andrea smiled, "see you ladies later." She said before leaving.

Maggie looked at her belly, "in about a week the baby should be here... I was wondering if in a few days Richie could come back and stay a few nights incase I go into labor."

Sonia thought for a moment, "I'll have to talk to Frank but, it shouldn't be a problem."

Maggie gave a sigh of relief, "thanks, my mom is busy all week and I couldnt figure out what to do so thank you. I'll talk to you more about it tomorrow." She called as she walked away.

Richie's POV

The four of us ran around the room figuring out how to make one big fort. It turned out really cool with a whole bunch of blankets hovering over us and some left over to stack in the middle and get comfy.

I layed in the middle of Eddie's room, "guys, can you believe we'll all be going into big kid school soon?"

Bill, Stan, and Eddie all sighed, Eddie spoke up, "no, it's like yesterday I was so small and now boom kindergarten."

Bill sighed, "y-yeah, but I-I-I cant wait to be a b-b-big kid."

A few moments later, after Stan told us the thought of it made him cry, Mrs. K called us down for pizza. We all thanked her eating up as many pieces of pizza as our stomachs would let us. Which, because of our age, was only two peices.

While I was eating, something weird happened, I felt butterflies in my tummy everytime I heard the other boys laugh or they smiled or made eye contact with me. It was weird and I thought maybe I was getting sick, I'm gonna talk to mommy about it when I see her tomorrow.

---------------------Meanwhile--------------‐----------

Maggie was taking a nap on the couch and was woken up by Went when he walked by and noticed something wet on the couch between Maggie's legs and quiet cries coming from her.

"Sorry to wake you love but, um, I think either your water broke or-"

Maggie cuts him off with a sharp gasp, her hand flew to her stomach, "oh my- holy shit, shes early.... we gotta go." She said breathing through contractions.

Went nodded, beginning to run around the house, grabbing last minute odds and ends and shoving them into a small bag.

Maggie called Sonia, "hey, um-" she had to pause to breath through a contraction, "could you watch Richie for a few days. The baby decided today was the day and-" another contraction, "please?"

Sonia immediately understood, "of course. Goodluck!" She faked the whole conversation simply going with a smile and nod.

Maggie thanked her and waddled to the car breathing and trying to calm down. Once they reached the hospital, they were checked in and put into a room. Eventually a doctor saw them, confirming Maggie's water broke but only theee centimeters dilated.

A lot of pain and waiting later she gave birth to Leo May Tozier. She held her close tears spilling from her eyes excited to finally meet her baby girl.

Richie's POV

Sonia knocked on Eddie's door, opening it and looking under the blankets, smiling softly at us all.

"Richie, your mom called, your baby sister was born." Sonia said quietly before standing up and walking out of the room.

I smiled widely, "I'm a big brother!" I yelled wrapping my arms around the losers, pulling them into a big hug.

Eddie smiles wrapping his arms around everyone as well.... "when will we get to meet her?"

"I dont know. You heard your mom, she was just born." I laughed.

A few days later I was finally able to go back home, see my mom, and meet my baby sister Leo.

My mom sat holding Leo in her arms, "would you like to hold her?" She asked quietly.

I nodded running over to sit next to my mom, "she's so tiny." I whisper with a wide smile.

"You have to be extra careful with her head, it could hurt her very badly if you dont support it." My mom said moving my arm to better support my baby sisters head.

"I'll always protect her, no matter what happens, I'll never let anyone hurt her." I say softly happy tears flowing slowly down my face.
