All of them. Every single one, said to give in to what you crave. I did as they said, and I gave in. I gave in to him.

I dropped what I carried and let him lift me up. He placed his soft lips against mines and I tried to intensify it. He teased me and refused to go any farther under his smile.
He placed me on the counter, laid his hands on my hips and pulled me closer.
I bit my lip and looking down, and making eye contact. I wanted him, and I wanted him now.
He moved close to my face and whispered in my ear, "Make your way to the room. I'll meet you there soon." And I did as he said.

But how dare me start there!

I've known Duke for a while now. We kept the relationship at a friendly level, because we both had agreed keeping our relationship at a friendship. He had been seeing someone the time we met, and I had a 2 year relationship with a man I loved dearly.
Duke is a very respectful man, the type to always give you a flutter in your stomach when he came around. I always tried to tame the feeling forever now, but the man is irresistible. But there's always an angel on my shoulder reminding me of Josh, the love of my life, and telling me that I love Josh. And the devil on the left, telling me to give in to my feelings. I always listened to the angel.
Duke called me and wanted to meet up in a few.
"Sure!" I felt the butterflies in my stomach again. "Where at?"
He paused for a moment. "My place?"
He seemed ashamed of mentioning his place. We usually meet up at a local restaurant.
   "That's fine. A specific time?"
"Give it about a half hour. I could really talk to you, in person," then he hung up. I know he has more to say, but hearing his voice in person makes everything better.

A half hour went by pretty damn fast. I struggled to find sometime to wear, that didn't make me look like a slut, or an elementary student. I went simple, and got on the move.
Josh texted me when I was on my way, but being the good person I am, I waited til I got to Duke's apartment to answer him.
Hey babe. i bought us sum food n imma stop by your place so we can chill!! love you!❤
I threw my head back and sighed. He doesn't like that I hang with Duke, because he always says I'm different around him.
im not home rn. Maybe when i get back we for sure can! Ilyt
And I left it at that.
Duke opened the door before I could knock and he looked he had been crying, or he's either high as hell. I gave him a pouty face, and he looked down. I knew this talk would be serious.
"What's wrong?" I moved the conversation to the couch, and he refused to make eye contact.
He took a deep breath, and finally looked at me. "Leah. The whole time we'd been seeing each other," he closed his eyes and bit his lip. "She had been with someone."
   I gasped. "Serious?"
   He nodded.
I placed a hand on his bicep and moved closer to him. "I'm so sorry. I knew you had a good connection with her."
Leah and Duke had been seeing each other for 6 months. Those 6 months I really struggled to be myself around him. This would be the second one to play him like this since I've known him.
"I just thought she would've-" and he broke down.
It hurt seeing him like this, but he fell into my arms and hugged me tight. I wanted him to feel comforted, and held him tighter. I tried not to cry, because seeing a man cry that means a lot to you, really hurts you.
This went on for a good ten minutes, and he released and looked at me.
"Thank you." He rubbed his nose and made more eye contact.
I smiled, recieving a smile back.
I had always hated holding eye contact, but never with this man. He held a special place in my heart, a place that Josh couldn't even reach.
He made up something small because he was determined to give me something to eat.
"Thank you, Duke. It's really nice of you to do this."
"Hey, you helped me, I should return the favor." He went to go take my plate from me, but I took his that he was holding and headed for the kitchen.
I placed the plates in the sink and was preparing to do them. It looked like he hasn't eaten much, or he either has been eating out more often. Either one seemed possible.
I suddenly felt cold hands on my sides. I winced from how cold it was.
I pulled my crop top down a little more and gave him a glare. He was smiling which made me smile.
"You don't need to do those, I got them. And I know Josh wants to spend time with you, so please go spend time with him."
He gave me a big smile, and leaned in for a hug. I jumped up and gave him a bigger hug. We pulled away, and he glanced at my lips. Well, more like stared.
   God, you're fucking tempting...
I could feel hands speaking to me, speaking those exact words. He pulled me in a little closer and gave me one last hug. I gave a kiss on the cheek and he smiled.
"I'll text you, alright?" I said.
   He nodded. "Please?"
"Of course Duke! I love you buddy, I wouldn't drop a friend like you at all."
He seemed a bit hurt by me saying 'friend'. "Love you too, bubs,"
And I left. But I wasn't happy with who met me by my car when I headed that way.
