You were in cosmetology school, and in order for you to get experience credit you needed a guinea pig to test your hair techniques on. Your best friend, Felix, was the first person to sacrifice his hair and good looks for a chance at you accomplishing your dream. Felix always was a fan of changing his hair. In highschool he bleached his dark black hair into a brownish red, and the last time he let you experiment with his hair you bleached it.

You had been trying to convince him for weeks to let you dye it red and at first he wouldnt budge. He told you red was too intense for him to start with, and eventually you talked him into a ginger like orange. His hair was longer in the front and you thought that orange would look nice against his paler skin tone and freckles in the fall.

So there you two were, in your kitchen, dyeing Felix's worn blond hair. "Lixie come on don't pout. You needed change!" You said to him. "Did I really need change y/n, or did you need credit?" He responded. You giggled while smearing the first pieces of hair with orange dye. "Oh WOW this is pigmented", you said, but only to freak him out a little. He grabbed his phone and used the camera to see his soon to be hair color. "I like it..." He smiled.

You carefully spent the next few minutes gently applying color onto his hair, making sure not to miss any spots. After a while, Felix leaned back and started to fall asleep in the chair. He had been busy with schedules lately, so you decided to work a bit more gently and quieter. You finally finished putting orange dye onto the former blond boy and carefully put a plastic cap onto his hair to let the color process faster.

You sat on the couch scrolling through your phone. You realized an hour had passed and figured that it had been more than long enough that the dye had been sitting on Felix's hair. You got up and headed towards the still sleeping man and remembered that you let him sleep an extra 30 minutes because he looked so cute and peaceful. You felt your heart flutter and your cheeks blush. Sure you had feelings for Felix in highschool, but after being friends for so long you decided to not make a big deal from it.

As you approached closer you heard his phone notification go off, and saw he had texts from Seungmin.

Seungmin🐶🐶:
Ok, I know you like her but there is no way any girl can convince me to dye my hair ORANGE.

Seungmin🐶🐶:
Hellooo?! Earth to Felix? Are you going to answer me? Stop flirting or I'll tell Changbin Hyung. And Channie Hyung....they'd be suuuper jealouus.

Seungmin🐶🐶:
*crickets* woow I see you must have finally told her how you felt. The lack of response makes me think you two are making out!! :0

You laughed so hard after peaking at his messages. Your laugh must have been so loud that Felix woke up and started to ask you what happened. "Nothing Lixie, just the TV. But I'm glad you're awake now, its time to rinse out the dye." Felix nodded and stood up from the chair. He stretched and shuffled with the chair over to the sink. As he sat back down, you turned on the water and grabbed the sprayer. He leaned back and put his head over into the sink.

"AHH JAGI! TOO HOT" Felix screamed.
You giggled at the bare faced Aussie staring at you in shock, partially wet hair dripping over the kitchen sink. "MIHANE!!" You screamed while laughing until tears formed. I won't do it again. You turned down the temperature and before putting his head back into the sink, Felix placed his hand under the water to feel if it was just right. After some sketchy stares and temperature adjustments from you, he finally sat back and leaned in his head so you could begin rinsing his hair.

You watched as the water hit Felix's scalp and the clear water tinted orange before going down the drain. You used your hands to massage any extra color out causing Felix to hum in enjoyment. His scalp was warm and you could feel it through your gloves. You started to get lost in thought following your eyes along his subtle features. The sunset light was beaming through the window onto him and you could see his skin absorbing the sunlight. His skin was glowing and his freckles were illuminated like never before. His soft, full cheeks rested and complimented his plump lips.

You managed to finally get to his glowing eyes and how the sun had turned them into molten amber. You adored him, and after reading those messages you now knew that at least it wasn't that bad to admire his features and feel so drawn to them. You were so lost in his eyes you didn't notice he was staring back into yours. "Am I done?" He asked. You looked towards his hair and noticed the colour was no longer bleedimg into the water. "Sorry, yea lets get you up Lix."

You took the towel and dried off his hair and when you were done you took a good look at him. Orange definitely suited him. What was better was that it was a paste like orange. It looked natural. You managed to look into his eyes again and just before you could think of it, he kissed you. Soft and slow. You were held there and didn't want to let him stop. He pulled away and blushed deeply. "I liked it..." You say to him. He shly smiled and grabbed his phone. He saw the messages from Seungmin and his eyes went wide. "That's why you laughed and woke me up?" He asked. You shifted your eyes and grinned sneakily. "Maaaybe" you responded.

He took a big sigh from having to stop and grabbed a mirror to look at his hair. You combed it down neater and he looked up at you through the mirror. "Thank you so much, I love it." You expected him to get up and start gathering his things to leave since it was getting late, but he walked over to the couch and as soon as he sat down he got a call.

"Hello? .... Hi Channie Hyung...I was thinking about spending the night with my girlfriend so don't worry about me for dinner tonight.....Yes I'll send you how it looks. Goodnight mate"

You smiled to yourself. You were going to spend the rest of your night sleeping with your new boyfriend and his new hair. And you loved every bit of it.
